Serenity Makadi Beach

Hasan make the best drinks at setenity hotel.

We have only just returned home a few days ago following an 11 night stay at the Serenity Alpha Beach. The pool attendents , the bar staff , the cleaners are all so hard working and a real credit to the hotel. Sadly , other members of staff are borderline rude and front facing customer service staff reallyhave a lack of customer care skills.

The hotel grounds are very well maintained and remain appealling for guests. The beach is lovely and the pool areas are so well looked after by the extremely proud and caring lifeguards ( big shout out to Khaled at the adult relaxing salt water pool)

The rooms are nice and spacious but are in need of some care and attention and a refresh.

The drinks are fairly good but it really does make a difference if you tip. The staff work extremely hard and deserve every tip that they receive. Emad worked tirelessly everyday around the adult relaxing pool on his own and he was exceptional and certainly has a positive impact. The lobby bar is nice and relaxing on an evening and again the staff were excellent

The food - not a great experince at all. The main buffett is carnage. We only used it once and refused to use it again. The ala carte restuarants are very good and the Italian and Oriental really did excell. The real problem is making the reservation to use them. The hotel reminded us on several occassions that the room capacity was overbooked and it was really busy - that really doesn't help. As a TUI guest, you are apparently entitled to 4 ala carte visits per week , however , you can never make a reservation even days in advance. When we did use the ala cartes , they were at 15% capacity at most. There is an option to pay to use them so I assume that's why it's done like this. There is a Brazilian restaurant that can be used but you have to pay 20 euros per person - we did visit this twice and it was certainly worth paying for. Also if you have a purple wristband, you can use the smaller buffet area near the beach and this was a much nicer experince.

We never really had too much experience with the Entertainmnet team , but they are all very welcoming and pleasant and worked extermely hard.

With a few improvements , this could easily be a 4/5 star resort but its a realistic 3.5 /5 based on my recent experince.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything about this hotel was absolutely amazing. The reception team were the perfect first point of contact—so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home from the second we walked through the doors. A special mention has to go to Ahmed on reception, who was an absolute credit to the hotel. He was 10/10 from start to finish—professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Every member of staff treated us with kindness and respect, which really set the tone for the whole stay.

When we got to our room, we were blown away. It was spotless, beautifully presented, and exceeded all of our expectations. In fact, the entire resort was immaculate and incredibly well looked after.

The food was another highlight. There was so much choice every day, and it was honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and catered for all tastes.

What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. No matter where you were around the resort, everyone went out of their way to make you feel welcome and included. Their friendliness and attention to detail made such a difference.

I genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing about our stay. It was an incredible experience from start to finish, and I will definitely, without a doubt, be coming back. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
