V Grand Beach Resort Sahl Hasheesh

The experience was extremely disappointing and fell well below the standard I expected from a five-star, all-inclusive hotel.

On arrival, the reception experience was chaotic and we were left waiting. When I showed the receptionist my booking on my phone, he took a screenshot and accessed my personal photo library without my permission. I found this completely inappropriate. Our passports were also retained while we went to eat without the process being properly explained.

The food was consistently poor and the buffet was inadequately labelled. The cocktails were also extremely poor and largely undrinkable.

A male employee at the omelette station also catcalled and whistled at me, which I found completely unacceptable.

Our room had several problems: the air conditioning was extremely loud, the fridge was not working and contained a used bottle, and the beds were worn and uncomfortable.

Staff were frequently cold, rude or suspicious. On one occasion I was questioned about whether I was actually staying at the hotel despite wearing the all-inclusive wristband.

We were given no proper introduction to the hotel or its facilities and nobody escorted us to our room.

The private beach was also extremely difficult to enjoy. We were repeatedly approached with offers of massages, excursions and other services. Even after saying no, people continued approaching us, and on some occasions we heard what appeared to be insulting comments after declining.

These issues were not isolated. They occurred throughout the holiday and included poor customer service, a privacy concern, inappropriate staff behaviour, poor food and drinks, room problems and constant interruptions on the beach.

I paid for a five-star, all-inclusive holiday and the experience fell significantly below that.

My boyfriend and I travelled from London to Egypt and stayed at Pyramisa Sahl Hasheesh, and overall we had a really lovely experience. First of all, the location is excellent. Sahl Hasheesh is such a beautiful and peaceful area, and the hotel has a lovely beachfront location with direct access to the sea. We really enjoyed being able to spend our mornings by the beach and our afternoons around the pools. It is also a great place if you want to relax and get away from the busy atmosphere of the city. The cleanliness of the resort was also something we noticed. The public areas, pools, restaurants and our room were generally very clean and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and housekeeping kept everything tidy during our stay. The whole resort felt well looked after. For us, one of the most important things is value for money, and honestly, we felt that we got what we paid for. Considering the size of the resort, the beachfront location, pools, food, drinks, entertainment and the level of service we received, we felt that our money was well spent. Of course, no hotel is perfect and there are always little things that could be improved, but overall we felt the experience was worth the price we paid. The food had a good variety and we always had something we could find and enjoy. We also really liked the bars and want to give a special thank you to the bar team for their friendly service. A special mention must go to Karim from the Beach Bar. He was always friendly, smiling and attentive, and he made us feel welcome every time we came to the bar. People like him really make a difference to the guest experience. Thank you, Karim! The Entertainment Team was another highlight of our stay. There was always something happening during the day and in the evenings, and they brought a great atmosphere to the resort. We especially want to thank Lucifer from the Entertainment Team. He was incredibly friendly, funny and energetic, and he made a real effort to make guests feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. He was definitely one of the people who made our holiday more memorable. Thank you, Lucifer!! The staff in general were very welcoming and helpful, from the restaurants and bars to housekeeping and the entertainment team. Coming from London, we have stayed in different hotels and resorts, and the friendliness of the staff here really stood out to us. The beach and pools were beautiful, and there was plenty of space to relax. We also loved the atmosphere around the resort, especially in the evenings. Overall, we had a great holiday at Pyramisa Sahl Hasheesh. We felt that we received good value for the money we paid, the location was beautiful, the resort was clean and well maintained, and the staff made us feel very welcome. A big thank you to everyone at Pyramisa Sahl Hasheesh, especially Karim from the Beach Bar and Lucifer from the Entertainment Team. You both made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Pyramisa Sahl Hasheesh to couples travelling from the UK who want a relaxing beach holiday with plenty to do. We would happily come back again! ❤️🇬🇧🇪🇬
