Amphoras Beach

I have stayed at Amphoras Beach before and decided to come back because I generally like the hotel. The property itself is beautiful, the beach is nice, and the overall service is good. The staff are friendly, the rooms are kept clean, and there are enough food options to keep things interesting during a longer stay. What disappointed me this time was the atmosphere in the evenings. The hotel is supposed to be a family resort, but the animation programme feels almost nonexistent. During the day, you barely see any real interaction with guests, and in the evening there is very little that actually makes you want to stay and participate. The animation team seems much more focused on their appearance than on entertaining guests. Some of the female animators wear extremely revealing outfits that look inappropriate for a family hotel and, honestly, give a much more provocative impression than a professional entertainment team should. The problem isn’t attractive people or stylish outfits, it is the lack of professionalism and the fact that the appearance seems to replace the actual entertainment. I remember this hotel having much more energy in the past. There were proper shows, performances, music, games and activities that involved the guests. Now the entertainment feels empty and disconnected, and the nearly empty amphitheatre says quite a lot. It is a shame because the hotel itself has everything needed for a great holiday. With a professional animation team, better daytime activities and proper evening shows, the overall experience could be completely different. Hopefully the management will take a serious look at the entertainment department, because this is currently one of the weakest parts of an otherwise enjoyable resort.

Overall, we had a pleasant time at the hotel. We especially loved the food provided. There was a different theme every day, and we enjoyed almost all of it. As for the room we stayed in, I wouldn't call it modern, but we still enjoyed our time there. As for the staff, I can say that everyone was helpful and attentive. The animation team, in particular, came by every day to ask if we were enjoying our stay. I would especially like to thank Nelli and Alexandra. They were extremely attentive and helpful, and we formed a wonderful friendship with them. Thanks to the two of them, our stay was much more enjoyable.
