Panorama Naama Heights – Very Disappointing

Panorama Naama Heights – Very Disappointing I’m really disappointed with Panorama Naama Heights. I’ve only been here two days, but unfortunately I’ve already seen enough to know that this hotel is not what I expected from an all-inclusive holiday. Let me start with the few positives. The room is lovely. It’s spacious, comfortable and very nicely presented. I genuinely have very little to complain about with the room itself. The one obvious issue is the shower head in the bathroom, which has a visible build-up of limescale and clearly needs a proper clean. The hotel itself is also quite relaxing, and there is plenty of space around the pool. Unfortunately, that's where most of the positives end. THE FOOD – THE BIGGEST PROBLEM The food is, quite honestly, the worst part of this hotel. When you book an all-inclusive holiday, you're paying for your food and drinks as well as your accommodation. You expect a decent choice and some variety. If you're an international traveller, you also expect there to be food suitable for different tastes. That simply isn't the case here. The food appears to be heavily geared towards Arabic guests, with a lot of rice and chicken and very little choice for international holidaymakers. But what makes it even worse is the lack of variety from one meal to the next. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are, for the most part, very similar. There doesn't seem to be enough effort to change the food or offer genuinely different choices throughout the day. You start to feel like you're eating the same things over and over again. The salad selection is particularly poor. Some of it looks like it's been sitting out for far too long, with things such as the cucumber looking tired and dried out. I'm normally the person who puts weight on during an all-inclusive holiday because there is so much choice and I enjoy trying different food. Here, I'm actually losing weight. That might sound funny, but when you've paid for an all-inclusive holiday, it's actually incredibly frustrating. I've paid for food and drink that I simply don't want to eat. So, for me, a large part of what I've paid for has been wasted. THE ENTERTAINMENT – WHERE IS IT? The entertainment team are another major disappointment. I've stayed in Egyptian hotels before, and good entertainment teams make a huge difference. They walk around the pool, talk to guests, learn people's names, encourage people to participate and actually create some atmosphere. That isn't happening here. The entertainment team seem to appear in the morning and then disappear for much of the day. There is almost no interaction around the pool and very little energy. They seem much more engaged when speaking to Arabic-speaking guests. As an international guest, I haven't felt particularly included at all. And honestly, I don't understand what the entertainment team are actually doing for most of the day. The evening entertainment is fairly standard, but during the day there is basically no entertainment atmosphere around the pool. STAFF & LANGUAGE The staff are generally pleasant, but English is very limited. The gentleman who runs the spa probably speaks the best English and has been one of the easiest people to communicate with. Again, if you're an international traveller, this is something worth knowing before you book. THE POOL There is plenty of space around the pool, which is good. But when you look into the pool, it doesn't look particularly clean. That's not something you really want to see when you're on holiday and deciding whether to get in. FIRST IMPRESSION Even the arrival wasn't particularly impressive. When we checked in, they were regrouting the floor in reception. I understand that hotels need maintenance and repairs, but walking into reception for the first time while work is being carried out isn't exactly the welcome you expect. MY COMPARISON This is my third time visiting Egypt and my second time in Sharm el Sheikh, so I'm not judging this hotel without anything to compare it to. I've stayed at other Egyptian hotels where the entertainment team actually interacted with guests, spoke English and created a real atmosphere around the pool. I previously stayed at Parkland's Curiosities, and the difference was enormous. If I could have afforded to return there, I would have. The entertainment team there understood their job. They interacted with guests. They made an effort. They created energy. Here, I simply don't see that. VALUE FOR MONEY? This is the biggest issue for me. Is this hotel relaxing? Yes. Is the room lovely? Yes. Is it worth the money for an international traveller booking all-inclusive? In my experience so far, absolutely not. The food selection is poor, breakfast, lunch and dinner are far too similar, the entertainment around the pool is practically non-existent, communication can be difficult, and the overall atmosphere lacks energy. I've paid for an all-inclusive holiday and I'm finding myself disappointed every time I go to eat. That's not what I expect when I've paid for an all-inclusive package. There is transport to Naama Bay at certain times provided by the hotel, which is useful. Using the iDrive app taxi is also around 60 Egyptian pounds to Naama Bay and around 200 Egyptian pounds to the Old Market, so getting out of the hotel isn't particularly difficult. But ultimately, I shouldn't have to leave the hotel to find the food, atmosphere and entertainment that I expected to be part of the holiday I've already paid for. I'm only two days in, but I'm already extremely disappointed with this hotel. If you're an international traveller considering Panorama Naama Heights, especially if you're paying for all-inclusive, I would think very carefully before booking. A beautiful room doesn't make up for poor and repetitive food, a lack of entertainment and a lack of atmosphere. At this point, I would not come back.

Worst hotel ever don't go

It was horrible don't waste your money going here unless you want to eat out every day and spend way more than you would usually on an all inclusive holiday the staff are weird they look and you weird as a girl I felt so uncomfortable and there's 1 or 2 English family's there and the rooms are so bad dirty old the showers flooded multiple times the food is so bad they do the same 5 dishes no chips they give you raw pizzas at dinner and theres literally nothing to eat there the power shut up while we was there so all the lights in the hotel shut off please save your money and go on a holiday with a tui 3 plus rating instead

avoid at all costs do not book here unless you want poor food, the runs, and be room bound for a few days

very poor hotel on may points, food woeful and yes i did end up in my room for a few days with the runs severe as well, the rooms are dated need upgrade, have a safe in the room that is not bolted down room cleaner did a great job, loose tiles all over hotel, many broken especially around the pool with cement put in to fill holes, not enough sun beds for guests and many are damaged or broken, animation do nothing i was there 11 days never spoke once or asked me to join in activities as for the restaurant it has approx 110 tables, yet complex holds 600 plus, it is like feeding time at the zoo if you do not get a table you have to eat outdoors in 40c heat with flies landing on your food, outdoor cooking food is left uncovered for 25 mins before cooking i never ate from outdoors because of this, very little choice for kids, mash vegies rice for breakfast or 1 toaster for toast, 3 cereals choice is very limited management do not care as they selling hotel needs a major update from new owners avoid this hotel at all costs, i have been Egypt 4 times this is by far the worse i have ever endured i was so glad to get away, the 24 hour bar upstairs is handy for coffee during the night but watch all the chairs as they have dodgy backs on them again broken so do not lean back in them, the bar staff do an amazing job day and night so polite bring your drink to you, but watch the balcony it has a glass barrier al round it 2 pains are shattered yet not taped off, sun rise is awesome to watch from here of a morning it is very quiet very few positives from this hotel, it is one i will never return to, not even if it was for free

TripAdvisor Review
Food is awful.

We are still here but felt the need to write something whilst we are struggling after just two days. The food is appalling and there is very little for Europeans to eat. We have been to Egypt before so we know this isn't normal. Breakfast is exceptionally poor, I don't expect a full English breakfast but there is no alternatives you would find in other hotels in the region. No butter available unless you ask and when you taste it you wish you hadn't asked. No jam or chocolate spread. Overall there is little or no organisation. The grill area outside is a free for all with long waits as no one is organising the queues and staff who obviously have their favourites. Even the entertainment feels like an after thought with nowhere enough chairs and tables for everyone and those that are there are all over the place as people do what they want as the staff presence is minimal. The pool is filthy as none of the filters are working or pumping. There is green slime under all the pool ledges. I know you cannot help how your guests behave but you need some level of control.... mob rule should not be the morm because people can act / badly. There are some things that are exceptional with the hotel..... but they are overshadowed by how bad the food, management and pool is. I am in room 1122. The picture is of the cake portion I was given, maybe you have more control over budgets than you do managing your staff and you have taken your eye off the ball completely as your guests are no getting value for money.
