Charmillion Sea Life Resort

Stayed at sea life, stuck in the past, we went 17 yrs ago and decided to return for our 40th wedding anniversary only to find the curtains have never been updated a the furniture in our room. The amination team were not very organised at all. Our cleaner Azouz was amazing very helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed. Restaurant staff were fantastic. I wouldn't go back even though we had a lovely time.

Right where do I start. Was here last November /December so thought we would visit again.

Reception - Check in was very quick. Some of them staff are very friendly and will have a laugh with you when your bad breaks. We did find one of them to be arrogant like last time. The reception area does have table and chairs which can be used any time nice air conditioning in this area , also has a tv playing in this area. The only problem is the furniture is very old and you can feel the wood when seating. Needs all new. The hotel offers a gold band for customers revisting and you get better rooms and additional benefits like bathrobes/slippers - We didn’t receive this. The room are very outdated only 1 socket in the bedroom area you will need an extension cable with you, shower area is big but big let down his the shower the water is very slow to come out and not powerful enough. Curtains are hanging down from the rail and look dirty. You get a safe in wardrobe to use which is free. The cleaner left us decorations on the bed made out of towels , he kept leaving the patio door unlocked which is unsafe when your on the ground floor. Our bed didn’t have any flat sheet on the mattress for 5 days just the mattress protector. We did see blood on the pillow which you could see through the pillow case. The towels are old and very small. Telephone didn’t work in room. We did have a problem with food but I contact our travel company and they contacted the hotel. The main chef (sorry didn’t get your name) was fantastic with me/us, he went out of his way on a day basic to make sure everything was okay and I/we personally can’t thank him enough for this.He is very professional at his job and he cares about customers. (Holiday makers)❤️ If the main chef saw us around the hotel he always shouted over to my husband -Mark everything okay, do you need anything. He a credit to the hotel. The head waiter/ restaurant manager- Tansil was a great guy he always checked up on I/us to make sure we were okay and had something to eat. Thank you 🙏 Pizza Chef Saleh he tried his best to do me garlic bread one night and always got my husband to try his pizzas flavours. The cleaners in the restaurant do a fantastic job keeping the restaurant spotlessly clean. Thank guys keep up the good work. The lobby bar - M.Nabil -where do I start this guy is very professional at his job, he’s a caring and friendly person ,always at hand to help and passionate about his work, he looked after us from day one. Words can’t describe how grateful we were of him. Thank you ❤️ Missing you already! Beach/pool bar - 3 guys which needs mentioning the first one is - Hani he remembered us from the year before, he gives this hotel 110% works his socks off , he’s one polite and friendly guy, he went out of his way to make sure we had everything what we need, for example - problem with pop machine not giving Sprite was giving you Soda water he went out of his way to get this rectified and would fetch the drink over to us. Valid member of staff. The next is Mohammed and Kareem these 2 guys work there socks off too, looking after customers. Both of them are a credit to the hotel, friendly and polite guys. Life guards -yes quite a few but one that stood out to use was Ahmed he was outstanding, always had a smiling face. He made the pool area feel safe, warm and welcoming. Yes hearing the whistle being blown sometimes got on your nerves but it was done for a reason. He was very professional and alert at all times.Deep down the hotel is lucky to have someone like Ahmed to keep us all safe and pool area clean. Still think that the deep side of the pool should allow divers. The Gardeners - what a fantastic set of guys you have working at this hotel and keeping this hotel looking so lush and green in the hot temperatures. Well done guys ! Never get any credit but deserve it. One big problem is when watering the gardens it’s smells like raw sewage. Which is disgusting 🤮. Makes you want to be sick. Next set of guys who don’t get any credit/ or recognised are ones what cleans up the areas after cooking bbq at nighttime. Guest relations lady Maha- very smart and friendly lady, she will go out of her way to help you and get problems resolved, if possible. The beach area is huge loads of sun beds, not on top of each other , very clean and loads of different fish to see in the sea.Do recommend beach shoes for going into sea. Entertainment- Personally not my cup of tea. Music too loud around the pool. Evening entertainment isn’t that good. I do personally think it’s missing Sonny and his team.

The hotel does have 2 Al cartre restaurants on site - which we didn’t use.

The hotel offers - taxi on site (which we didn’t use) ATM, shops - sunglasses,watches, jewellery, clothing/footwear , food shop(snack) perfume , flavoured scents, Pharmacy on site not to bad prices. Spa on site - used for a Pedicure - please haggle for a good price.

We visited Namma bay / Soho Square and Old town we use InDrive taxi and never had a problem. We did a boat trip with Falcon Adventures Excursions Sharm - To White Island - highly recommend Samantha and the company.

The hotel does have 2 sister hotel on site -which you can use within walking distance and the other 1 which a free bus is provided.

To get to the hotel from airport in a taxi takes about 10 mins.

Would I go back I’m not 100% sure the hotel - does need an upgrade, but it has some amazing staff that I would love to see again and these staff make the hotel.

A fantastic stay at charmillion sea life. We went with another couple who had small walking issues,when we were given our rooms the lads that took our suitcase went and changed our rooms to ground floor ones. This was a great help. The rooms yes are dated but clean and very spacious. The mattress and pillows were fantastic and really comfy. We were given a gold band but not told what it meant so didn't realise we could use the slides in the garden aqua park till the 2nd last day. Breakfast not the best if you like bacon sausage but more than enough still to choose from . The fresh omelettes are lovely and the man doing them.the food at dinner and tea was varied and plenty.a big thanks to the man on the pizzas he's was great and funny.the bar manager M Nadial and Karrim made sure we were looked after they chatted and took time to engage with us made our stay better. The watering of the grass in the morning and afternoon was a bit off putting as the smell was bad .but overall I would definitely come back next year .
