Salmonella at the hotel!
Firstly i would like to start by saying that the staff at this hotel are amazing, from the bar staff, waiting staff, cleaners, entertainment team etc.
The hotel on the outside looks very clean itself.
The pools need a lot of TLC as there were tiles falling off, black all underneath the tiles that were peeling off.
The food is very competitive and some things are just worth staying away from. We tried the steak house it wasn’t too bad but still not great.
It’s a shame that the entertainment is so poor. The entertainment team are lovely I just think they need to be allowed more resources and money to allow the entertainment to be better,
The football pitch was great for the kids in the evening to occupy them:
The park in the kids club you wasn’t allowed on unless it was in opening times of the kids club itself which was pretty rubbish as it closed early.
Now to the serious part. We all went away on the 2nd of September. Family of 6. My sister in law started getting unwell on the Saturday with diarrhea, myself then became ill on the Sunday with the same and unfortunately we were both in bed all day.
My partner went and got us an injection from the chemist which would help with heat stroke etc. he also got tablets and antibiotics to treat whatever was going on.
They didn’t really work. Day 5 and I was starting to get better. My sister in law on the other had to be put on a drip at the hotel. When this didn’t work she then had to be taken to hospital and put on another drip the following day.
Fast forward to now 3 weeks after our holiday it has been confirmed she has salmonella. Now before anyone goes off about it’s our own fault we did everything we possibly could to avoid this.
My 5 year old son is now in hospital with potentially the same thing and it is so heartbreaking to see.
Unfortunately there is no other way it could have come from except from this hotel.
It’s not only us that has had the problems it’s other families as well.
I would say re think if you have booked to go here and try and change if you can

Just got back from a 10 day holiday here and we honestly didn’t want to leave!!
I was a little bit sceptical after reading the reviews but so glad we got to experience it for ourselves!!
Massive choice of food each day with live cooking each meal time. Fresh eggs and omelettes in the mornings, Toasties sandwiches and pastas fresh for lunch and dinner, aswell as carved meats and local foods, friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant, always willing to get you drinks for a small tip would make sure your glass is never empty! Special thank you from our family to Islam and Kaheem, both really stood out in the restaurant and their service was amazing each time!
We are in the included Italian restaurant and had the steak it was amazing!! So tasty! And included
We also spent my husband’s 40th birthday here and came back to a lovely fresh baked chocolate cake really nice touch!
Waterpark has plenty of slides for all ages and a lazy river.. have to be above 120cm to ride them alone which our kids were, opened at different times throughout the afternoon, no big queues and lifeguards friendly and professional, also a snack and bar toilets there so no need to leave!
Pools spotless and bar staff walking round all day offering drinks, again a small tip goes a long way! Same with the Sunbed’s in the morning we never had to hunt for them at 10 plenty of choice and the lifeguards more than happy To help with comfortable mats Personally really loved the swim up bar!
Rooms cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels and towel art for the kids which they loved coming back to each day, only negative here, for me, was our hand soap wasn’t topped up the entire 10days but then I also didn’t mention it.
Location wise right off the main road with a supermarket just outside Which had plenty of choice for pennies!
Entertainment team were amazing with my twin girls aged 11 this was one point I was worried about as seen the negative reviews but they have really stepped it up, daily game and water games there was a quiz bingo of a evening kids mini disco!! And then entertainment every night, they were visible and present round the pool all day making sure everyone was having a great Time, a big mention to Scooby Doo! Although only his 1st week here his energy is unmatched all day right through to the end of the evening a real natural entertainer!!
We are already looking at booking again for next year Fabulous holiday!

Amazing place
First time at the coral sea Waterworld and we have had the best time, everyone was amazing, entertainment catered for absolutely everyone, Amazing holiday from start to finish

stayed at coral sea water world for 7 days i wish i could have stayed longer food was beautiful, animation team were brilliant with the kids always something to do pink party’s, foam party’s, water sports rooms were spotless cleaned everyday
Nice but back to Tunisia next year
My husband and I visited for our 25th wedding anniversary at the beginning of September and I want to give an honest review which is not biased or requested by anyone one else. This was our first trip to Egypt On arrival late at night we were given snacks of rolls, sandwiches etc in the main restaurant which was welcome. We were directed to our room which seemed like miles away as honestly this hotel is huge. Our room(superior family room) 1135 was beautiful I couldn’t fault it overlooking the sea and pool and obviously renovated to a high level. Food at the main restaurant was a limited choice and I got fed up with it very quickly which is so not me as I’m used to presentation and choice so the last few evenings we ended up eating out. Pool was lovely although could do with some tlc, pool bar service was amazing, waiters couldn’t do enough for you and also our very attentive life guard making sure we had cushions before we had even got to our loungers(excellent service) The beach was not for us although we love beaches, why? So shallow for a long way out, full of grass and rocks so not the sandy base we’re used to, nice and warm though. We ventured to the end of the pier each afternoon for a swim and a little snorkel which was nice but didn’t see a lot of fish or coral, not an issue really. We only visited the water park once did the lazy river which I would say was very lazy, also the wave pool which was not very wavy but hey ho. Entertainment was quite poor although team were nice but the content needs serious overhaul to be on a par with other TUI animation teams.maybe games in the pool, more dancing ,less inflatables , just more fun activities for all ages. The one reason I wouldn’t return to Egypt is the airport on departure, it was horrendous, staff were rude, checks every 2 minutes, made to feel very uneasy, poo all over the toilets, with no hand soap or toilet roll absolutely vile and never again. Sorry it’s a long one but wanted to cover everything. .
