This was our fourth stay at a Rixos resort, so we had fairly high expectations. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday, but compared with our previous Rixos experiences, this one didn’t quite reach the same standard.
What we liked:
Areas for improvement:
Overall, we still had a great holiday and there is plenty to recommend here, particularly for families. However, having stayed at several other Rixos resorts, this one felt like it could benefit from a few improvements to match the standards we’ve come to expect from the brand. We’d happily return, but we’d also hope to see some of these areas addressed.
Osama in block 24 was amazing cleaning our room everyday very friendly snd professional room number 24016 🤩
Perfect restaurant, nice staff very helpful people The food is very high standard, highly recommend to everyone thank you guys
Lovelly hotel the food is great in both areas more choice over at the main side , couple of downsides would be that it is extremely hard to book the Al a cartes , and my room was good I have had better the view was quite bad though looking over a building site and looking over some rubbish , but the hotel staff in general can’t do enough for you , I never experienced a problem with the drinks , like others have said ,but did only have cocktails a few times. Special mention to the cleaners Ahmed and mohamed in block 35 they were absolutely wonderful. The hotel done really well for my partners birthday we had the cabana which I thought was really worth it the service was exceptional. I have visited a few Rixos hotels in egypt I would say the seagate is better than radamis but not quite as good as the Rixos Magawish which is totally amazing . But I would definetly return.
Rixos Premium Seagate and Aqua ticked all the boxes for our recent family holiday:
Checking in - Our 1am check in was extremely smooth, firstly the reception staff give you a run down of the hotel and amenities as well as a map and list of all the information you need to know, and are taken straight away via buggy to your room alongside luggage. Rooms - We had 3 rooms, 2 on Seagate and 1 Aqua side, they were beautiful as advertised and were very happy with the fridge, snacks toilets/showers etc. Thank you to our room cleaner Ramadan El Hasini for going above and beyond for us and making the rooms very special ( as well as the housekeepers’ for room 16109 on aqua side we didn’t get your names unfortunately). Location - Sharm is a stunning place with various things to do such as nearby shopping areas ( Soho Square & Old Town Market) just be prepared for crowds and hassling😂. Very short distances between airport and these places too. We also booked excursions through Falcon Excursions very close by to the hotel and recommend them very highly👌🏽. The Grounds - Rixos is very big and sometimes hard to navigate as there are many pools, bars, restaurants etc, i’d advise to keep the map on you until you have walked around and got used to the site, staff will also help guide you as they keep well informed as well as the buggy service that runs around the hotel quite frequently (15 minutes but most of the time shorter than that). The views and time they have put into designing the resort really does show as everything is immaculate and excellently presented. Entertainment- The entertainment varies from day to day and starts around 9:30pm on average, the shows are amazing as expected and very big open space whether it’s in the entertainment centre or the X lounge on the beach. We stayed during the world cup so the atmosphere was incredible on match days! Highlights- On the end of the pier the hotel staff will put you in life jackets and allow you into the sea to snorkel, this was a truly amazing experience and did it mostly everyday😂. The al a carte restaurants are a must do so make sure you book those at 4pm (be ready a bit before as sometimes problems occur) or go to guest services and get them to book them in a way that suits you, you can only book 2 in advance so get this done at the start of your stay.
Staff - The staff all around the hotel are extremely kind and hospitable and mostly went above and beyond to make the experience relaxing and stress free, i will mention some names more for management to give recognition to these staff for exceptional work. Buffet staff: Abdelzaher, Abdullah and Mohammed were always amazing and brought our drinks without us even asking😂 Bar staff: Rashaad, Shenouda and Ahmed were attentive and made our stay very memorable. As well as Abinay and Adel the restaurant manger and general manager, really great people who took the time out to make our stay better. Overall the stay was one to remember we had no problems whatsoever that wasn’t immediately solved by staff!
Tips- Bring snorkelling gear or buy from outside the hotel as they can get expensive. We tipped the staff in 200£Egy (roughly £3) where necessary REMEMBER you can access to the aqua side across from the hotel so make use of the water park etc it is very fun and many amenities on that side too! (although buggies are provided it is so much easier to walk around everywhere) For the beach, swim shoes are always handy to have. Our favourite restaurants were the Mangal, The Italian and The People’s Restaurant ( will cater to your needs whatever the issue).
Thank you all staff at Rixos, we loved it and plan on being back soon😉
