Gorgeous oasis to end our safari tour!
Beautiful space, sweetest people, exceptional service, and scrumptious food!
It's not a huge lot, but the architecture and layout makes every space feel so grand and luxurious. At the same time, because there aren't many rooms, it still felt private and we received incredibly personal service. All the staff (shoutout to Zipporah, Erasmus, Risper, Caroline, and Nusra) knew us by name and interacted with us like family. The food is fantastic - and plenty to say the least. The view and access to the beach couldn't be any better. We really didn't want to leave at the end!

Incredible Stay!
The Maji is a beautiful little hotel with only a handful of guests, which means you receive very personalized service. The staff greet you by name and are incredibly friendly and attentive.
The rooms are beautiful, with lovely views of the ocean, and there is direct access to the beach from the hotel. The beach itself has beautiful white sand, and the ocean is wonderful for swimming. If you’re worried about the occasional sea urchin or jellyfish, you can always take a dip in the hotel’s beautiful pool instead.
We took a short walk along the beach and noticed that some of the other hotels are beginning to show their age. The Maji, by contrast, feels modern, stylish, and very well maintained. You also feel completely safe at the hotel. The only time you may be approached is on the beach by locals trying to sell you souvenirs or other items.
The food at the hotel was simply outstanding. We stayed on a full-board basis, with all meals chosen from a menu. There’s a great variety of dishes, and the quality is comparable to that of a high-end restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and freshly prepared.
I would definitely recommend The Maji if you’re looking for a place to stay at Diani Beach.

Excellent and Amazing
I needed a solo trip to Diani and so my travel agent recommended The Maji and I must say The Maji was everything I needed. The ambience was amazing, very cosy rooms and chill out spots within the property, easy access to a clean beach and the best part was the food! Their A la carte menu is top tier and the chef did deliver on the food. I lierally tried all their sea food menu and it was great! The services are great. Got an amazing massage from Irene and very good services from the entire team. I will definitely be back. I think I found my retreat home.
The best boutique hotel at the coast
Not the first time here and the place remain in very high quality. The location is superb close to the airstrip. The rooms are amazing, the ambiance is great. Food is wow and most of all the staff is friendly. The value for money is great

Relaxing time
We had a relaxing 7 days at the Maji following our safari. The location is beautiful and the food was very good. The Maji is a small quiet hotel which was perfect for us and we were well looked after by all the staff. A very enjoyable end to our time in Kenya.
