Worst hotel ever! Why is the hotel rated 4 star ? They don’t even deserve a 3 or 2 star rating ! I have stayed in many hotels and this is the worst one and a disgrace to be rated 4 star hotel rating. The room and toilets need refurbish. Everything in the room was old and dirty! The water flow and pressure was so low and the shower glass door was broken and we could not open it ! There was stains everywhere on the bedsheets ! Terrible ! Highly recommend to AVOID staying at this hotel 👎
We stayed as group for 2 nights. Hotel and its furniture is quite old .Clean bed sheets but towels are worn. Breakfast is average and unorganised , staff has no idea what to do and serve. The most important item as safety measures are concerned are the two elevators, be very careful while getting into them because the doors has no sencor control ,quite risky.
I stayed at hotel ayoub for the weekend. I feel it is only but fair to give the actual hotel a 5star review because the staff there were amazing and the support in which come up which we needed, they were absolutely amazing, yuself the security guard needs a pay rise the man went above and beyond for me and my partner and they are all so friendly. The rooms themselves were more standard but they were cleaned daily and I felt safe leaving my belongings there i left valuables out and nothing touched apart from a lovely clean room to come back to which was spot on. I only had breakfast here so can't really comment on the food as I am not a big eater for breakfast, there is some variety there and always fresh servings being topped up, again lovely staff they make you all feel so welcome. The pool was lovely spot on 👌 always someone going around tidying area even down to moving pillows back on seated settee area etc. One thing I would only say is it does get busy there but you all take in turns and eventually will get a bed and if not a bed then we just sat on chairs or the settee area which was nice. Pools were lovely and clean and I really am a clean freak again no faults. I would highly recommend staying here . Thank you guys x
For a 4* hotel, the offer is very poor. They don't clean floors in the rooms, the closet was pretty dusty, so if you want to put some clothes in it, you have to clean it first. The furniture is old, but that is not such a big deal. The worst thing is the fact that they do not change the towels even if you leave them on the floor. The supply of shampoos and soaps are poor and while taking a shower, there are sudden streams of very hot water. There wasn't a "disinfected" sign on the toilet. Everything else that this hotel offers must be paid extra (spa, sauna...). The breakfast was generally ok, even though it is almost the same every morning. The staff was kind and helpful.
It’s rare to see what’s good with a hotel as people tend to use trip advisor to complain, here’s my honest opinion- The day reception staff are so beyond lovely and house keeping did a great job at keeping the room clean for us ensuring we had clean towels etc. The aircon in the rooms was great, the shower and the electrical plugs in the room not sure much. They worked, they did the job but just about. The breakfast was great, as with any place the earlier you get there the better, but there was a good mixture of hot and Cold and someone cooking pancakes as well as a nice collection of drinks. Dinner was similar, no drinks were served during dinner however and they do cost extra.
The downside was NOTHING was labeled so quite often you had to guess what it was - especially the meats. But all hot food was covered in hot trays so remained hot. The pool is nice, VERY deep (2m) and is falling apart in places but gets nice shade and sun and is a nice place to relax, it is quite cold - there is a small “ jacuzzi” but it’s just bubbles and not hot at all.
The hotel is about 30/45 min walks from the medina and the hotel provides us with nice easy instructions- the walk wasn’t that bad, depends how fast you walk. Lots of local supermarkets around and if you’re looking for food for lunch “snack friends food” and “chez Lolo” are incredible and close to the hotel.
Overall it was a good stay - the hotel could do with some touch ups as it’s a bit dated and falling apart in places and some labels over food. Good location if you don’t mind a little walk and lot of tables to choose from.
