Here's a honest experience of this hotel . But, to bear in mind this hotel was purely for the French only, 2 years ago. So all the staff have had to learn English as best they can. ( if they came here would you learn French? Didn't think so lol ) So this has got to be by far the most relaxed holiday ive had for a long while . Yes getting drinks is poor because they only have 2 bar staff on , serving at any given moment . Hot drinks and cold. If your going for the alcohol don't bother . This is not a holiday for a drinker . We took our tall thermal cups and filled them at breakfast lunch and diner . This worked for us . There's always something to eat , whether it be pizza and chips ?, beef , or chicken , pasta or veggies. We were told by another Brit that the colour wrist bands depicted who you were . Purple for English white for French green for morrocan I think and so on . This meant that being English the language barrier worked in our favour and was left alone all holiday . Perfect . Cleaner was great but you can't polish a t**d. Only bugs we encountered was midges. A quick sweep before we went to sleep was golden. A 1 litre bottle of water was left every day for free. Fridge worked . Could do with taking a travel kettle and doins. Tv was awful. Take a tablet like we did preloaded with a series on . We did slow horses and it saw us out. Rooms are tired but it was september and the summer riff raff and wreck it Ralph had used it to death but your in there your eyes closed when your asleep. Frogs in the hall were a thing so nice to see a bit of nature . Grass hoppers are about 6inches long , oh . Safes are a quid a day . Local tax to pay pool towels are a tenner each deposit. Just invest in a lounger towel and a pool towel before you go and youve won the battle . Didn't want to leave hotel all week so we just relaxed and chilled by the pool up the back end by the water park . Bang on . Will return next year as this is a cheapie worth doin for either music junkies or peace and quiet . Your choice . Also a guy takes your suit cases to the room . He WILL wait for a tip a couple of euros will do it . We left a fiver for the maid as she changed our bed every day and left bed art on occasion . And that's all we spent. Perfect

Disappointing stay – not as advertised Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was far from what we expected, and we feel the hotel is not accurately advertised. When we arrived, our room was not ready. Once we were finally able to access it, we immediately noticed that the fridge door was hanging off and the fridge was leaking. We reported this to the hotel, but it was not properly sorted until day three. As a result, we woke up one morning to find a large puddle of water on the floor of our room. On several occasions, when we returned to our room, there were no towels or pillowcases. The telephone in the room also did not work, meaning that whenever we needed assistance, we had to walk to reception or try to find the maid. Unfortunately, we also found the reception staff to be quite dismissive whenever we tried to ask questions or raise concerns. The staff, in general, were not particularly friendly or welcoming. The one exception was the maid, who was always lovely and made us feel welcome. The food selection was another major disappointment. The hotel information stated that pizza and fries were available every day, but during our seven-day stay, fries were only available on one night and we did not see pizza every night either . The choice of cocktails and drinks included in the all-inclusive package was also very limited. On more than one occasion, we were served drinks with a wasp actually swimming in them, which was extremely unpleasant and concerning. We were also uncomfortable with the different coloured wristbands being used for different nationalities. From our experience, it appeared that guests were treated differently depending on which wristband they were wearing. This was particularly noticeable when comparing the treatment of French guests with other nationalities. The only real positive for us was the Zen pool, and the hotel's location itself is lovely. However, even with the Zen pool, we found the information provided to guests misleading. The welcome leaflet stated that food and drinks had to be paid for, but when we visited, we discovered that there was also a charge to use the sunbeds and pool. This was not made clear in the information provided, and we do not feel this was appropriately advertised. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay. Between the room issues, lack of maintenance, poor food and drink selection, limited all-inclusive options, inconsistent service and what we felt was misleading information, the experience did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel and would not return.

What a fantastic week we have had at Valeria Medina Club Resort. Upon arrival at the resort in the evening we checked in and were given our key cards. Our room was in Riad 800 and we together with our bags were taken by buggie to our room. When we went into the room it was clear that the aircon wasnt working (it was 40 degrees outside) so we reported this to reception at approx 7.45pm. We went and got dinner and to our surprise the aircon had been fixed when we returned.

The resort was an approximate 30 minute drive from Marrakech centre which was fantastic for exploring the city by shuttle bus and the surrounding deserts on guided tours.

The food was fantastic with a large salad bar with detox waters and juices, amazing bread and pastries and an array of deserts and fish options. There were more local dishes of tagine, cinnamon rice, brac and more or pizza, chips, chicken nuggets, pasta italian dishes and pizza from the amazing woodfired pizza oven on the terrace.

The majority of the team at the resort were french speaking but upon realising we were brits couldnt wait to test out their english with us testing out our french it having been lodged in our memories for the last 20 plus years and not used since school.

The facilities were great with a large option of pools and beautiful grounds and lots to do all day with information displayed on the boards alongside the Medina when approaching the Reception doors and on the leaflet we were given.

I would definately return again in the future.
