Nestled at the very heart of Marrakech's palm oasis, the hotel is located just 13 km from the Koutoubia Mosque and famous Djemaa el Fna square. Menara Airport is 15 km away. Surrounded by the peaceful gardens of olive and palm trees extending over 4 hectares, the complex blends modern architecture and traditional Moroccan elements. The sumptuously decorated rooms and suites offer incredible views over a sparkling pool, the artificial lake and the magnificent Atlas Mountains. Guests will be taken by flavourful dishes served at 2 restaurants. Afterwards they may have a drink from one of the on-site bars. The youngest ones will delight in kids' club while adults pamper themselves at spa equipped with Hammam, sauna and gym. Further leisure facilities include outdoor pool, paddling pool, sun loungers, aerobics, badminton, tennis. Travellers arriving by car may avail for on-site parking.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Lovely hotel, issues with AFCON fans
We stayed here for 6 nights just before Christmas during the African Cup of Nations football tournament. The hotel is set on beautiful grounds
Overall good visit but poor handling of situation dampened the scores
I have toyed at leaving this 3 out of 5 but here we are. We looked extensively into a good deal for Morocco and this hotel had great reviews for what we wanted to spend and do.
The ground were well kept and clean and tidy and easy to get around to all areas
The water dispenser in the corridors were a good addition and very helpful as been to many other places and half never fully worked but these were clean and useable.
Food quality was decent and as far as 4 star all inclusive go it was not unenjoyable however after a few days I think it may be a bit repetitive. The restaurant was also good. Breakfast I found the best options of the 3.
Pools were full quite quickly if you didn’t get a bed early enough- but the kids pool area was a good place to go the time of year we went there were not many kids about so worth looking there if the main pools are full.
Our stay was going well until half way through our stay during the night someone was knocking on our door. The knock repeated again before the key card was attempted as it made the wrong beep sound. Initially you would assume this was just someone trying the wrong room but when checking the peep hole we could only see 3 workers in uniform. After faffing around trying to figure how to reach reception by phone which we eventually loaded via the app the man I the phone didn’t really seem too concerned and said he send someone to check. Nobody came and nobody called back to the room. This for me was quite unsettled and the remaining 2 nights we slept with a chair up against the door. As 2 female travellers. There was cctv right by the room so felt more could have been done to look Into what had happened.
This incident really is the reason for my lower score because the value for money was there and food was acceptable compared to many other All Inclusive places
Staff were all friendly wherever we encounter them but when someone attempting your door at night and you can only see staff outside shortly after this would unsettle anyone but to have no reply or answer to it wasn’t great for me
I wouldn’t say to avoid but I’d recommend making sure at night your room is secure as mine was. Because if we has forgotten or not double locked etc who knows

Fun in the sun @ Iberostar Waves Club hotel, Palmeraie, Marrakesh, Morocco
Hotel is located in Palmeraie, which is a 30 minute taxi ride into the centre of Marrakesh.. Apart from other hotels nearby there is nothing of note here. The atmosphere at the hotel is very relaxed… The staff are nice, kind, polite and always very helpful. My room was a ground floor garden view room, which had a small terrace with a table & 2 chairs. The room had air-con, but its lowest setting was 16c and could of done with a much lower setting as for at least 4 days the outside temp was 40+ C. Bathroom was good. Washbasin, WC, shower with both rainhead and hand held options.. Towels were changed daily, and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner wer ok. There was sufficient storage, and a security safe. The grounds of the hotel are big and have a wide choice of things to do. Plus 3 swimming pools, and its own Theartre/Nightclub ( closes at midnight ) The restaurant is big and offers good choices, plus when its not open there is a food truck by the main pool + two other outlets for both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks…
People always ask, what were the negatives…. Very few actually As I said earlier the grounds are vast, and superbly maintained. The hotel rates itself as a 4 star, I would tend to agree(ish) but just little things like maintenance of light fittings in the bedroom corridors, loose handles, etc ( basic diy stuff really, without sounding picky ) Would I recommend the Iberostar Waves Club…. Definitely YES Would I go back to Morocco… NO Pleased I experienced it, but the culture did not float my boat, but I do think, people should give it a go if they wish to have a new experience.. Who knows… it may float their boat…. If you do go, Get the All-inclusive package. Well worth it …

Comfortable rooms, pleasant atmosphere, good and high quality food. Special thanks to the guest relation manager, she is amazing, making your stay perfect and meeting all your expectations. The entire staff are absolutely incredible, I believe this is the main strength of the hotel - the employees, and the really deserve recognition for the great job.

We honestly cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! This was already our second visit this year, and once again, it did not disappoint. In fact, we’re already planning our next break here for next year — that really says it all!
The food is absolutely impeccable. There is such an amazing choice, with something for everyone, and everything is fresh, hot and beautifully prepared. We genuinely couldn’t fault it.
The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, from the beautiful rooms to the immaculate grounds. You constantly see the staff working hard to keep everything looking and feeling to the highest standard, and their efforts really don’t go unnoticed.
A huge mention has to go to the bar staff, particularly at both pool bars and the Argennier Bar. They are all so friendly, welcoming and attentive, with fantastic service. A special thank you to Mohammed at the indoor bar, who remembered our order every evening — such a lovely personal touch and one we really appreciated. ❤️
The entertainment team are fantastic too. They are so friendly, energetic and welcoming, and they really help create such a fun atmosphere throughout the day and evening.
Our room was beautiful and cleaned every day to an exceptional standard, with fresh towels and bedding. Everything was always perfect when we returned to our room.
The drinks are also plentiful with no restrictions, which makes everything feel so relaxed and enjoyable.
And finally, a very special thank you to the Guest Relations Manager. Your care, attention and genuine warmth really made a difference to our stay, and we are so grateful.
A massive thank you to the entire team at Iberostar Waves Palmeraie. You work incredibly hard, and it shows in every aspect of the hotel. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, amazing food, wonderful staff, fantastic entertainment and exceptional cleanliness makes this somewhere we are more than happy to return to time and time again.
