beautiful hotel but value did not follow the level
A beautiful hotel with gym and grounds to match with great service all around, but I couldn't help but feel I was over-paying a bit to be at the oldest luxury hotel in Morocco. For much less money you can stay down the road in the medina at a nicer, much larger place with much bigger rooms. The gym was among the best I have ever seen at a hotel. Our room was small and a bit dark for my taste. The room's bathroom, although beautiful is a very dangerous design. The shower is between the sink and the toilet with marble floors between them and the shower does not drain fast enough so you are left with walking over slippery floors to get the toilet all day and there are not enough bathmats to fix this ridiculous design. We originally were given a handicap room which we didn't mind at first but when I almost broke my neck in there a few times and sprained my knee, we asked to switch rooms - which to their credit they did right away. I gave an extra star for the beauty but to me the overall value makes this a 3 star experience to me. The food in the restaurants were all very good.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, with an incredible atmosphere. However, what truly made our experience so special was the outstanding staff.
Every member of the team was incredibly kind, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
La Mamounia is not only an iconic hotel, but a place where genuine Moroccan hospitality and impeccable service make the experience truly memorable.
We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended!

Bad experience
This was one of the worst experiences I've had. The hotel's operational management was extremely poor and didn't meet the standards of a luxury 5-star hotel, making my experience at this beautiful place an unforgettable one. I hope the owners and investors will review the hotel's situation to prevent it from deteriorating further.
