- Labranda Rose Aqua Parc

The 302 rooms Labranda Rose Aqua Parc is the unique hotel located in the city center of Marrakesh in the Hivernage district featuring an aqua park. It is a destination in itself offering a wide selection of restaurants and bars from a classic International dining experience to the wonderful culinary offerings Morocco is blessed with having. On the recreation side, the Labranda Rose Aqua Parc is equipped with all sorts of leisure facilities. As a guest, you will have the chance to take a splash at the aqua park slides and attractions, plunge in the refreshing outdoor pool or enjoy the sun while having a drink poolside. The SPA with its indoor heated pool offers all sorts of wellness treatments. The Labranda Rose Aqua Parc is more than a temple of relaxation and recreation though. The more active guests can also enjoy their athletic lifestyle at the gym.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed at the hotel for a week in late August and overall I found it a good experience.
The positives:
The staff at the reception were helpful and the porter was excellent, he helped us with our switch to a twin room. Everything at the reception was straightforward.
The buffet restaurant was fine, I thought there was a decent enough choice of food and there was even a section for traditional Moroccan food including tagines.
The room was fine, the air conditioning was quiet but was the perfect temperature for us.
The swimming pool facilities and aqua park were good. The pool was big enough and still some room to swim, I think we planned the holiday at a good time as the school holidays were coming to an end so it was starting to wind down which meant there was no issue trying to get sunloungers and not too many selfish holiday makers dumping their towels and leaving for extended periods of time.
The flumes were great fun and you didn’t have to wait long to use them, it seemed reasonably well monitored so there weren’t too many people going down at the same time.
The hotel is well located near the city centre and nearby there is a nice modern shopping complex.
The negatives:
At the poolside they did have quite loud music at one end to the point that I couldn’t hear the person next to me, I do understand that because there is an entertainment team and different events going on they want to bring some energy and participation. But there are people who are also here to relax and it wasn’t necessary outside of events like Aqua Gym or so. We made sure after the first day that we were situated at the opposite end of the pool which helped.
The gym was ok but a few of the stations were broken, plus there wasn’t any air conditioning or many sanitiser facilities for wiping clean the stations.
One thing to watch out for is when you go for lunch. Essentially there is a break from entertainment and the flumes are closed at the Water Park from 12:30 to 2:30pm so an enormous amount of people flock to the buffet restaurant at once once it hits 12:30. Expect to wait a long time to queue for pizza or pasta.
There could have been more choice of fruit in the dessert section, often there wasn’t any or limited to some melon and something which looked like an apple.
Apart from that it was a pleasant stay but I think timing is important, a lot of negative reviews seem to come from families or people staying during peak school holiday periods.
I’ve stayed here for a week. Very beautiful experience, the hotel is good. The best thing is the animation team, every guy/girl is funny and lovely.
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel has been very disappointing, especially when it comes to food safety and the elevators.
The biggest problem is the food. This was not an isolated incident. During dinner, we were served meat that was visibly raw and not properly cooked. We immediately informed the staff and showed them the problem. We expected the issue to be taken seriously and resolved.
However, the very next day, the same thing happened again at lunch. Once again, we were served meat that was undercooked and practically raw.
We are travelling with a small child, so this is a very serious concern for us. We do not want to risk our health or the health of our family. After experiencing the same problem twice, despite informing the staff after the first incident, we no longer feel comfortable eating meat at this hotel.
For an all-inclusive hotel, we expect basic food safety standards and proper preparation of food. Unfortunately, our experience has not met those expectations.
Another major problem is the elevators. There are three elevators, but very often only one is working. This means extremely long waiting times, which is especially frustrating when travelling with children, a stroller or luggage.
The stairs are not a good alternative either. They are often wet and extremely slippery, making them potentially dangerous, especially when using them with a small child.
Overall, we are very disappointed. Food safety and basic hotel facilities should be a priority, especially in a family-oriented all-inclusive hotel. We sincerely hope that management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements so that other guests do not have the same experience.
On arrival at 10:30am, hotel reception was very unhelpful, don’t speak good English. Didn’t get our incisive bands until 12, we were hot tired and thirsty. Got my room and it wasn’t cleaned. Also no kettle in the room. Main bathroom in hotel, 2 out of 3 sinks never worked. Nor did the 1 hand dryer. There was an awful stench throughout the hotel like pain stripper, mad me gag and feel lightheaded.
The entertainment was awful, the animation team only spoke in french throughout, same music every evening and silly childish games all night with the dj shouting again in French. Clearly this hotel should not be aimed for British, only French. Snack bar by the aqua park you have to pay for…even tho it’s all inclusive…same as another bar on site…why? Lifts are dodgy, got stuck in one and had to prise the door open to escape, staff in reception saw this and done nothing.
Food was nice but the same literally every day. Afternoon brunch was leftovers from breakfast and lunch. Female waitress in the morning was interrogating us when we were leaving to give them a tip…made to feel uncomfortable, male waiters in the afternoon/evening over familiar asking to meet me….again made me feel very uncomfortable. Never saw an easyJet rep not once. This hotel should not be market towards the British, there is clearly a divide with the staff for the French. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re from the uk.
Great hotel. The food was very good with lots of variety each night. The amination team were amazing super friendly. This hotel has a variety of activities in both the day and evening.
