Beautiful and perfect hotel i see ! Wonderful
Much better than I expected
As a longtime guest of the Four Seasons I was a little sceptical about the Sofitel and while it is not a Four Seasons, it is certainly worth checking out. There was plenty of bang for the buck and lots to like. Our 2 bedroom suite was very comfortable, very clean and house keeping were great. The breakfast is excellent and the staff everywhere are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I particularly loved the charming Egg chef at breakfast who sang while he made a perfect omelette. The lobby and surroundings are elegant. The pool area is extensive and they have really made the best use of the space available. The facilities are excellent and it would be unfair to compare this hotel with one further up the food chain.
The negatives, and there are a few. It is a very big hotel with lots of coming and going, the elevators are slightly nightmarish and before we even arrived, there were lots of communication problems as no one answers the phone and it takes a while for a reply to emails, even the central reservation office have problems getting information to and from them. As lovely as it was to have a terrace on the third floor, the noise and fumes from the highway were not pleasant and the floodlight right outside the bedroom lighting the lovely gardens was really not pleasant either . As with so many hotels, not much space to put cosmetics / toiletries etc in the bathroom but two fabulous lit magnifying mirrors. Negatives aside , I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel if you want a good comfortable base with lots of facilities, a choice of pools and good central location.

Wonderful stay
A lovely short break at this hotel. It is a perfect blend of relaxation and hustle as it’s a resort within a 5 min walk of the city. The best part though are the staff, attentive, friendly and professional.

A lovely stay
Excellent stay at Sofitel Marrakech. Beautiful architecture, a wonderful atmosphere and a lovely scent throughout — a fantastic place to enjoy Moroccan culture and hospitality. A special mention to Omar Tber, Khalid, Talal, Saad, Bouchra and Farah. I unfortunately didn’t catch everyone’s names, but the reception, housekeeping, restaurant teams(hosts, waiters and bartenders), doormen, concierge(inside and out) and cleaners were all incredibly warm, attentive and welcoming. The staff were truly a highlight of my stay and played a huge part in making the experience so enjoyable. I would happily return.
