TripAdvisor Review
Run down hotel in decent location but no decent sleep.

The Hotel is in bad repair, there is lots of details that spoiled or stay from overall cleanliness of communal areas especially toilets - they are dirty, old and smelly - imagine public toilets on the beach - this sort of stuff. Paint chipping away in outside places, stains on the walls, bird poop, old parasols in the outside bar/dining areas: this is something that catches your eye as soon as you enter the facilities but it seems like the maintenance team (if there is any) can't see anymore as this became their standard.

You won't be given much information about the facilities upon arrival. The printed information sheet focuses more on excursions than the hotel itself, also the folded sleeve you will get your door key in has printed totally different opening times for breakfast/lunch/dinner to what's on the other printed sheet or displayed in the restaurant. If asked for a map of the "resort" they will point you to the maps hanging on the walls for years - all colours faded and prepared like someone has done it in 5 minutes using bad MS Paint skills. Also the map points you to "private beach" behind the Aquapark - but we ended up in the alleyway with dumped building materials and the gate that was padlocked and nobody around. I'm sure this USED to be a way to the beach but hasn't been for years and the Hotel can't be bothered with designing and printing new maps.

Also, would not recommend this hotel to someone with mobility issues, plenty of stairs and steps and not all have ramps, and if they do - some are pretty steep (steep ramp from show room down to the main pool) or leading to places with no ramps anyway (like pathways to Riads which have steps to access the ground floor or ramps missing half-way). Again - no map showing how you can take a step-free route to the area of your choice.

Many people in the reviews have motioned that the hotel is mostly for French customers and have different coloured wristbands and yes - I can confirm the French have different set of services available for them - starting from entertainment by the pool - only French, dinner time games - French, they also have their own customer service team that constantly checks on them and will do anything for them, also in the dinner time they will have a bottle of wine in the ice bucket ready - if you'll have white wristband - you will experience none of this, basically the white wristbands speaking anything else but French are to stay there to sleep and eat.

The meals - especially breakfasts are also designed to fit mostly French customers. Plenty of sweet savoury to start of your day not much of anything else. Not much variety if it comes to lunch and dinners as well. They do tasty pizza and some grilled stuff and there always plenty of pasta/chips/nuggets for kids so they won't be hungry.

The main restaurant inside is dingy and have unpleasant smell so we preferred to sit outside. But there are not enough seats and tables so for dinner that starts 7.30pm people are coming in more than an hour earlier to reserve table so if you want to come bang on 7.30pm for dinner you can forget to find a table outside. The staff there is fussy when it comes to joining tables also slow in cleaning and replenishing dining sets after customers are leaving, so if you'll find a table for your family you will sit by the dirty table and the staff won't do anything until you will ask them to clean and provide fresh sets of cutlery - this is first time I have experienced this lack of attendance towards the customers.

Rooms are nice, spacious and have an interesting design, however in the bathroom - the marble-like top was chipped around edges and the surface was full of stains. There is a hairdryer available, also 230v socket (Euro) in the bathroom, fridge in the room an another Euro socket, some tables, large wardrobe, a safe locker, efficient and relatively quiet AC but there is no kettle. The beds are large and comfy with clean sheets and cleaning service every day, they will swap your towels if left on the floor. There is no water replenishment for the rooms. Actually we haven't been served any water since our arrival, the fridge was empty. We had to sort the water ourselves and we thought we can take it from the restaurant but the waiter there said "no, this is only for restaurant" and when asked where we should get the water from he said "I don't know". If asked on another occasion one of the waiters wasn't sure if we even should be paying for the water, luckily we didn't but the uncertainty of the staff member whether we should be paying for water in all inclusive hotel shows the level of how much they care for you.

Bars - the hotel advertises itself as having 3 bars, I can count one in main complex, another by the pool and another one in the Aquapark area. So as for the main bar - the cocktails even if pre-made taste good, not very strong but tasty (I had worse). Beer is a mix because they have Moroccan stuff from tap which tastes okay, but sometimes they will serve you an absolute cheap stuff from bottle which is awful and is actually the cheapest beer you can buy in Morocco. However staff not very attentive and on one occasion just as I was about to be served after waiting in the cue the waiter turned immediately to the French lady that just got inside but I gave him strong look that I was first so he turned back to serve me - shocking! Other two bars shouldn't be called bars really - just a storage of bottled drinks where all will be served into paper cups. Very often saw them empty with poor guys waiting to be served but there is nobody in! I tried myself on one occasion - nobody is in, but three guys just chatting outside so I have asked them: "break time?" and they replied - yes. I understand that there may be an hour of lunch brake for them but surely you can rotate staff to make sure all bars are being staffed? No booze in the pool bars which is fine for me, only bottled beer poured into paper cups - warm and with half cup of head, personally I don't fancy drinking this way so stayed with fizzy drinks instead.

Pools - main pool - I don't know how deep it is as the tiles with depth information were missing or cracked. I never had a chance to try it as all sun loungers around were constantly reserved, no single one available during the day - loosens up a little bit towards the closing time 6pm. Wasn't getting up early enough to reserve a spot for the reasons I will describe later so we were using the Aquapark area. That area was also busy but seemed like there is more rotation so after sitting on the grass for a while eventually some loungers would be come available. Also the lifeguards there were happy to help and gather some single loungers together for our family of five. There is a medium sized 1.4m pool, 0.5m deep paddling pool for younger kids, also 0.3m deep paddling pool with slides and area with bigger slides with 1.2m deep pool where there is a minimum height requirement of 1.2m but kids were allowed to slide down with their floaties if could not swim.

Location of the hotel is decent - close to the beach and surrounded by plenty of smaller shops. The ATM's are close by however they charge 6 Euros per transaction. BUT: expect a lot of noise at night and early morning. Especially if your room is close to the street. This is crazy but outside traffic for some reason - flows with their horns constantly honking from around 5am and goes on for an hour or so. I don't know why this is but those guy are crazy - driving around the city as loudest as you can. Shouting, screaming in the background, loud music - you name it but the horns, honking, sirens THAT early in the morning spoiled our sleep and my family and kids was waking up wrecked every day and we were only getting up to make it for breakfast and not loose any more time of the day. The windows and balcony doors have no sound-proofing at all. So if you are light sleeper - forget to get any sleep at all.

WIFI - another let down. Officially there is a free WIFI available but it is very patchy, disconnects all the time so you will be better off getting a physical sim at the airport or buying an E-Sim. Even if you'll connect to the network, the device will show you there is no Internet and you'll have to keep reconnecting. Spent a lot of time doing that to save my e-sim 1GB allowance and wouldn't play any music from streaming services in full without interruption.

The vegetation on the hotel grounds are being cared for, the greenery looks nice and being watered, trimmed regularly - this level of care should be expanded onto other areas. The cleaning ladies although nice and smiley need to pay more attention to details. Toilets need a refurb but anyway, when you are cleaning the seat, clean the seat lid from inside as well as I saw many of them being left dirty for days with the same stains. The aquapark toilets are constantly wet, you go there and stand in the puddle hoping this is not someone else's pee. I know this is because people going there just got out from the pool and are wet but someone could be there with squeegee mop and keep it dry, instead there is a mat outside that presumably is supposed to dry your feet before entering. Every time my 4 year old went there, he insisted to get his feet washed after using that toilet. So the little child sees that as disgusting experience but the team running the hotel seems to feel that's ok.

So in conclusion - the hotel has a potential to be great for families but requires a lot of mending and ongoing preventative maintenance. Some areas look like the management have no idea what to do with them (mysterious empty large room with something that looks like something that used to be a bar - inside 2 -3 sofas and the whole area completely empty and large enough you can ride a bike there).

I know it's cheap (comparing to other AI hotels in Agadir but not cheap as a whole) - but the price should not be an excuse for many things that are not right with this establishment. Lack of proper management, under qualified or not properly trained staff, THE NOISE AT NIGHT are the main reasons we will be back in Agadir but will not stay in Valeria or recommend it to anyone. Unless your expectations are low and you'll take earplugs with you.

More of Morocco, please.

Stayed for two weeks with my wife and 8yr old granddaughter and we loved it! Yes you do have to get up early to bag a sunbed, but I've experienced that virtually everywhere we've ever been on holiday. The animation team keep the atmosphere around the large pool going all day long. They always stopped to speak to us around the hotel and pool, especially Sara and Julio. Most of the evening entertainment was in French- but that didn't stop us joining in once we got the gist of what was happening. The dining arrangements are a bit chaotic, but the food choices were fab. I didn't get his name but a shout out to Big Chef. We loved the sea food stir frys and enjoyed trying the various tagine dishes. And finally, for us, the two superstars of the whole place: Othman and Zouhair ( or Batman and Iceman) as our granddaughter called them. As well as providing excellent service, they made our little granddaughter feel a million dollars, for which we will always be thankful. My only niggle would be a lack of clear communication in terms of the various activities that the hotel offer. We loved our stay and my granddaughter wouldn't forgive if we never returned.

Disgrace to Jet2

This hotel is a disgrace & Jet2 want to ashamed to advertise it! We arrived and on approach all the signage had come away, there was a metal detector to walk through and the staff just ignored you. We checked in and were shown to our rooms which were connecting as we were a family of 5. The smell of the rooms were unbearable, it was a smell of foist mixed with bleach. There were no plug sockets and there were ants crawling along the floor! When it was time to go to bed I was tucking my 7yr old son in and noticed ants crawling on top and inside of his bed! The rooms felt very unsafe as the window shutters and back doors were wooden with a latch (no lock)! The hotel grounds were filthy, mud on paths and hotel grounds men were trying to wash them down but making it worse as they was over watering the grass which then made the path muddy. We went for our evening meal and could not get seated, it was overcrowded, the staff did not try to help and just looked rushed off their feet! Once we finally got seated the food was not edible, everything tasted like cleaning detergent and we couldn’t eat anything. My 7yr old son was vomiting 30 minutes later. We complained to Jet2 at our welcome meeting. The rep was good and we managed to change hotel immediately at a very eye watering cost!!! As we were leaving the hotel manager was glaring at us and giving us evil looks. We had to move as this hotel was just not acceptable and would have made our yearly holiday miserable! The amount of people we spoke to who were trying to move hotels made it clear that there is a massive problem with this hotel!

Do not go if you’re British

I would not come to this hotel if you are British! Talk about racial discrimination at it’s finest!!

We couldn’t do anything within the hotel because everything was in French. The kids’ club was entirely in French, and none of the staff spoke or understood English, so my little boy couldn’t attend, even though it was something he had been looking forward to. The evening entertainment was also completely in French, with not a single word of English spoken.

During our entire holiday, only one lifeguard spoke to us. Not a single member of the entertainment or animation team made any effort to engage with us. I understand if someone doesn’t speak English fluently, but at least make an effort to communicate or be welcoming.

British guests are given white wristbands, while French guests receive blue ones. From our experience, there was a clear difference in how people were treated. If you were British, staff barely acknowledged you and made no effort to speak or understand English. It genuinely felt like we were treated differently because of our nationality.

Every British family we spoke to during our stay shared the exact same experience, so it clearly wasn’t just us. There was a common feeling that British guests were treated as though they were the least important.

The animation team didn’t even acknowledge my 8 year old son. They spent the entire day at the main pool, which we couldn’t use because it was too deep for him, and there were no slides to keep him entertained. The team never once came over to the aqua park to greet the children or organise any activities there.

We went to sit outside for dinner at 7:15pm but were told we couldn’t sit in that area until 7:30pm. However, there were already three families sitting there who appeared to be French, as they were all wearing blue wristbands.

The food was extremely disappointing. It lacked flavour, and there was very little variety. In the evenings, there were no simple, child-friendly options such as pasta or chips, making it difficult to find anything our son would eat. Despite paying for an all-inclusive holiday, we ended up eating out every evening because the food was so poor.

The animation team stood outside waiting specifically to greet the French guests as they arrived. They welcomed them with wristbands in hand and even offered them champagne on arrival. Meanwhile, British guests didn’t even receive a simple hello.

This was just another example of how differently we felt British guests were treated throughout our stay. We constantly felt overlooked and unwelcome compared to the French guests.

We felt completely excluded throughout our stay. It wasn’t just the language barrier it was the lack of effort to make British guests feel welcome or included. It was a very disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this hotel to other British families.

Overall, this holiday was a complete waste of money. We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived, and throughout our stay it seemed that if you weren’t French, you were simply there to pay for the holiday without receiving the same level of service or hospitality. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel, especially to British families.

Very good

Been on lots of holidays, and I have to say the entertainment team for English has been the best. Keeping everyone entertained and fantastic interaction.
