Riu Tikida Dunas

Had an amazing time entertainment was brilliant especially houssam he was the best! Would recommend to come had a fab time. Friendly staff, food was good overall a really good experience!

Spent the last week here and was very disappointed . Not with the hotel and its facilities but with the staff and the professionalism. On one of our nights there, one of the staff members was extremely rude to us and then proceeded to have a fight with another bar staff member a few minutes later. This was very distressing as there were lots of kids watching. When we reported this we were told that the manager would contact us but he never did. Then on our final night we had an incident with some men that had been bothering and harassing us all week, which we were met with nothing but unprofessionalism. We were made to feel like this was a regular occurrence and the situation was not dealt with for a good few hours. Overall we didn’t feel satisfied or we even taken seriously until the situation got out of hand and even then we still don’t feel as though it was resolved. I would not go back again although the hotel was lovely. I did not feel safe even though it is a family hotel and the staff were not professional in the slightest, we even saw managers putting their hands in the peanut bowls for the tables in the bar and eating a few from each bowl every single night before someone took the bowl for their table. Additionally the food was very repetitive and as a celiac I could only really eat salad as nothing was labelled to know what was in the food.

We stayed at Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas as a family in August 2026, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel itself felt very run-down and in desperate need of refurbishment. Our air conditioning was extremely poor, and despite raising the issue, it was not properly resolved. There was also an unpleasant smell at times, and overall the room and facilities simply did not meet the standard we expected. The most unacceptable incident, however, was a serious invasion of our privacy. We had the Do Not Disturb sign clearly displayed on our door, yet a member of staff still opened the door and entered our room while my wife and I were being intimate. We were absolutely mortified. A Do Not Disturb sign should mean exactly that, and guests should be able to expect complete privacy in their own hotel room. Entertainment was extremely limited and what was provided was very disappointing. We also found it strange that the bars closed relatively early for a resort hotel, and the lack of room service made the experience even more frustrating. What makes matters worse is that when concerns were raised, we did not feel the response properly acknowledged the seriousness of what had happened. For us, the privacy incident alone completely overshadowed the holiday. Combined with the poor air conditioning, tired condition of the property, limited entertainment and lack of service, this was nowhere near the experience we expected. Sadly, we could not recommend this hotel based on our stay. One star.
