Hawksbill - Adults Only

The beaches are amazing. The resort is peaceful and quiet. We were relaxed from the moment we arrived. We stayed for 4 nights and never once left the property. We kayaked, snorkeled, read on the beach and ate great food. You can always find something delicious at every meal. The price was amazing, we got a generous deal purchasing direct from the hotel and it came with free airport shuttle to and from the resort!!! The a/c worked great in the room and the beds were very comfortable.

From the moment we stepped onto Hawksbill's breathtaking check-in deck overlooking the sea, I turned to my husband and said, "We didn't book enough nights." We fell in love instantly, not just with the spectacular views (although...wow), but with the entire feeling of the place. It was exactly what we'd been hoping for: relaxed but elevated, luxurious without ever feeling stuffy, peaceful without ever feeling sleepy. There's a certain magic to Hawksbill that's hard to put into words. It somehow feels tucked away and wonderfully secluded, yet effortlessly social if you're in the mood. We loved that we could spend an afternoon feeling like we had the whole place to ourselves, then wander down to the bar and end up chatting with the nicest people. This trip was especially meaningful because it was our first vacation together in several years. We wanted somewhere that felt special, and Hawksbill exceeded every expectation. My only hesitation in writing this review is that a small part of me wanted to keep Hawksbill our little secret, LOL. But it's simply too special not to share. Ever since we got home, we've been counting the days until we can return. It will always have a very special place in our hearts.

We returned to Antigua this year to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary, having spent our honeymoon on the island all those years ago, and Hawksbill Resort was the perfect place to mark the occasion.

We stayed in Honeymoon Cove, and it couldn’t have been more idyllic. Waking each morning to the sound of the waves, opening the doors to uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea, and simply lying in bed watching the turquoise water roll into the cove was pure bliss. With Eden Beach a short stroll away and over a mile of soft white sand to explore, the Hawksbill setting is simply breathtaking especially at sunset.

If you’re expecting five-star luxury, this probably isn’t the place for you. However, if you appreciate authentic Caribbean charm, stunning natural beauty and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, you’ll absolutely love it. The rustic feel is part of what makes Hawksbill so special.

The food was excellent throughout our stay. The buffet offered plenty of choice without ever being too busy, and the fish of the day was consistently delicious in all three restaurants. The SeaGrape à la carte restaurant was a real treat, with beautiful sea views, excellent service and superb food again, the fish of the day was outstanding. Just remember to pack something smart as there is a dress code in the evening. Our favourite lunchtime spot, though, was PD’s Grill, perched on the rocks overlooking the sea. The lovely Tracy cooked the most delicious freshly grilled BBQ food we’ve ever tasted, and her fish of the day was exceptional. It became somewhere we looked forward to returning to every day.

There was plenty to do if you wanted to be active. Paddle-boarding around Hawksbill Rock was exhilarating, and a Hobo sailing trip to a wreck with Gerald was a highlight.

Most guests were middle-aged couples looking for a peaceful escape, which suited us perfectly. Hawksbill isn’t about flashy luxury, it’s about beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, warm hospitality, great food and a truly relaxing Caribbean experience. We left with wonderful memories and couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. 🏖️🩷🌴
