Princess Senses the Mangrove

My wife and I recently stayed at the Princess Senses, The Mangrove. Our experience was extraordinary. It started at the moment of our arrival. We were greeted by Ricardo who proceeded to welcome us and to register us for our stay. We were then escorted to our room by our butler Navado who then gave us a quick overview of the suite and its amenities. The suite was modern, comfortable and very stylish. The view from the balcony was very peaceful and relaxing.

The Butler duties would be shared by the duo team of Navado and Jessica. They were awesome butlers and were there to answer all our questions and to help us out with all our needs. Their attentiveness and helpfulness brought our week long experience to an entirely different level and we cannot express the gratitude we have for all that they contributed to make our stay so memorable. Thanks again and a huge appreciative shout out to Navado and Jessica🙏

Everyone we met and all the staff we encountered were kind and helpful. All of the waitresses were phenomenal, particularly the beach attendant, Shaushanna who was attending to our needs while we lounged on the beach. Almost all of the restaurants were great. Robert’s Grill, KA Teppanyak, Unami and the Platinum Lounge were out of this world. Even the buffet option restaurant (Food Market) was far superior to those I experienced elsewhere. Unfortunately my wife didn’t enjoy her food at The Pearl, but I did (even though I am not a fan of seafood) and sadly, neither of us found the food at Fusion360 or il Palazzo to be exceptional (unlike some of the other à la carte restaurants). A special shout out to the staff at the two 24-hour cafes. They prepared great lattes for us which we were grateful to enjoy every morning.

We both enjoyed the Gym area (which was very clean and very well equipped and organized). The staff was always ready to help and always smiling!

Overall, the resort was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and sociable and made us feel like we were part of the family. My wife and I suffered much regret when it was time to leave and head back home to reality.

The only suggestion I would make would be to try to improve the WiFi coverage on the resort. Given that our communications with Navado and Jessica was via What’sApp, it was occasionally a little frustrating not to send/receive messages due to the WiFi loosing connectivity.

Thank you Princess Senses resort for providing us with an unforgettable week vacation. We hope to return soon.

We're just back from an incredible 17-night stay at Princess Senses The Mangrove, and it did not disappoint. The resort itself is stunning, with magnificent views that make it hard to leave your balcony, let alone the property.

Any nitpicks are minor: service in some of the restaurants could be a little slow, but that's island time for you, and we'd honestly have liked a bit more reggae playing poolside — this is Jamaica, after all! Food-wise, we had no complaints at all. The à la carte restaurants were excellent, and the buffet choices at breakfast and lunch were genuinely outstanding.

Now for the important part — the people who made this trip unforgettable. Every single staff member we came across was superb, but a few deserve a special mention.

The entertainment crew were fantastic — Starfire, Tiffany, Ann Marie, Chantal/Berry, and Dallet all made our stay so much fun. Starfire's energy was unbounded, Chantal put the biggest smile on my 18-year-old son's face with her pool side lip sync/dance, and especially Dallet who took time out of her day to beat us soundly at Connect 4 while demonstrating that my dad dancing wouldn't be winning any competitions in Jamaica, to be honest I don't think my aged limbs are quite as flexible as hers 😂.

A huge thank you also to the team at Euphoria pool bar, who worked so hard to keep us refreshed and entertained in equal measure — big shout out to T'Jay and Shakayla and their team of waitresses.

And finally, the coolest dude on the resort — George on the beach. Up at 6am every morning making sure the beach was spotless before anyone else was even awake, and always time for a friendly chat.

Thank you to everyone at Princess Senses The Mangrove for such a wonderful stay — we'll be back!
