Too Expensive for such unsanitary conditions
I checked in to RIU Montego Bay and only stayed for one night. My room the floor was dirty with sand, the furniture's were very dusty and dirty and to top it off they do not have blankets or comforters. They have one 80 count thread sheet on the bed which was paper feel and a runner at the end of the bed. You can't sleep comfortable because you're cold. Let's not mentioned that they do not have complimentary toiletry in the bathroom. This hotel is way too expensive for such cheap and poor accommodations and unsanitary conditions.

Fabulous Holiday
23rd June 2026-7th July 2026 After reading some reviews on here, I was slightly apprehensive about our upcoming holiday, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our destination The hotel has had a complete renovation since our last visit and is now an adult’s only resort. The resort is large and yes there are lots of young adults in party mood but with five pools to choose from it was easy to find a quiet place to relax. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We experienced a freak storm on our first evening and woke to a flooded room but within half an hour they came and cleaned the room replaced all the bedding, mopped everywhere and cleaned everything, luckily that was the only storm ! The rest of the holiday our room was cleaned daily clean towels and even the option of having the bed linen changed whenever you wanted. The mini bar was refilled with your requests via the Rui App , optics in room, and an ice machine on the 2nd floor for your use. The standard of cleaning across the whole resort was excellent , the staff were constantly cleaning everywhere. The restaurant/ restaurants had a great choice of food and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The bars were well staffed and again only ever saw smiles. Entertainment staff worked hard and they were again friendly and the nightly entertainment provided was excellent. Did not try out the nightclub as after a full day of sunshine and our age was glad to retire to bed. All in all a fantastic holiday and was sad to leave Would definitely return

Thieves
Stayed here last year and had such a good time came back, what a mistake. Had money stolen from our room and we were made to feel like we were the criminals with the hotel going through our stuff thinking obviously we'd hidden it. Its a shame as we were planning on returning next year for a big family holiday for a special birthday, never again. Absolutely disgusting from the hotel.

Amazing experience everything was on the resort I didn’t have to leave at all the staff were very welcoming and friendly very professional. The food was also so so delicious.

#CarnivalCruise #IYKYK Honestly expected so much more from this resort. The taxi service booked through the hotel kiosk was overpriced, the extra amenities were overpriced, and the drinks were bland. Even the Red Stripe tasted stale. Everywhere you turned, someone had their hand out for the "green." The beach was the only saving grace after everyone went to detox from day drinking, but be warned the constant whistling and yelling is from the drug dealers on the kayaks. The main pool looked like an STD convention waiting to happen. The atmosphere wasn't relaxing—it was loud, overcrowded, and felt more like a spring break free-for-all than an upscale Caribbean resort. For what this place charges, you'd expect a higher caliber of clientele. Instead, it felt like it catered to a younger, rowdy party crowd looking for a weekend hookup rather than people looking for a quality vacation. The music blasted through terrible speakers, and the overall vibe just wasn't enjoyable. If your idea of a vacation is getting blackout drunk, listening to bad music, this is your place. If you're looking for a relaxing, quality all-inclusive experience, keep looking. And the food? Diabetes on a plate.
