Wedding trip
Honest, fair and non sugar coated review - We spent 2 weeks here in the hideaway section as part of our wedding trip. Upon checking in, one staff member in the lobby noticed my Wife's bride box and subsequently disappeared. She reappeared with our upgraded diamond club tags and assigned butlers - Darnell introduced himself and was so so welcoming and friendly. We met Garvin the day after. Both were amazing throughout our stay, attentive and helpful. If you are lucky enough to meet them. You are in excellent hands. We were unaware that there would be 2 buildings closed for renovations and due to the lower footfall, a few bars were either closed entirely or closed earlier than normal. Restaurants were also subject to availability and closed on multiple nights throughout. This was slightly disappointing as we paid full price for a lesser experience. The main Martini bar closed fully during our stay and they began ripping it apart. Even during night time entertainment. We found the food of good standard. Grazie restaurant was bi polar, either rushing us out the door and another night, taking for ever. The main buffet restaurant was ok. Plenty of selection of different meats, salads and sauces. We didn't have any cause for complaint. Others may say different. We found majority of staff across the resort as friendly and always said hello. The poor reviews we read beforehand made us wary however no need. You get back what you put out. These people are just trying to do their job and they do it well. Leave the entitlement and demands at home. Our wedding was a lovely day, despite some hitches. Nothing to take away from the main objective. Darnell and Garvin assisted and decorated our room, lovely touch. There were a few over sights on our big day but we got over them. Be wary of the guys on the beach and don't accept their first price. What ever deposit they ask, is what they keep. You pay the balance out on your excursion. Be wary of the deposit and maybe shop around. Shout out to Darnell, Garvin, Kurdisha in the hideaway bar and Miguel in Zen... so funny and entertaining. We feel bad we couldn't tip him as we had no cash but just know, you made our night and we left with great memories. Finally, as part of our wedding package, it states, late check out for wedding couple. No mention of availability dependant. We enquired to our coordinator who informed us nothing was available. So we spoke to the hideaway manager (Merv) on advice from other guests. Who was so helpful and friendly and sourced us a room for our remaining few hours. Nothing available eh? 🙂 In conclusion- overall we had a great time and in one hand we enjoyed how quiet the resort was but on the other, the closed bars, restaurants (certain days) and part of the Dips pool was closed took a little shine off. The noise from the 2 closed blocks we could deal with but the noise from Martini Mix Bar during entertainment not so much. Don't fear the negative reviews. In general, the resort is great. Yes it's tired in places but they are working to fix that. Be nice and kind to the staff and you will get it back! Enjoy.

Honeymoon at Royalton Hideaway
We had a wonderful stay at Royalton Hideaway for our honeymoon! Upgrading to Diamond Club was definitely worth it, especially thanks to our amazing butlers, Travis and Sylvanie. They were friendly, attentive, and always there when we needed anything. Their service made our stay extra special and truly memorable. Thank you both for taking such great care of us!
Another great stay in the tropics
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Royalton St. Lucia Hideaway! From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxing, beautiful, and luxurious.
The resort is stunning, the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and the food and drinks were excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The beach and pools were beautiful, and there were plenty of options for relaxing or enjoying activities throughout the day.
What really stood out was the overall atmosphere—peaceful, upscale, and perfect for a getaway. We truly felt pampered from start to finish.
We had an unforgettable experience and would happily return to Royalton St. Lucia Hideaway. Highly recommended!
Don't waste your time
A group of 9 traveled to St Lucia for a friends and family vacation. We have been traveling together since 2010. On 9/10/26 - we entered the elevator with 2 elderly family members: one in a wheelchair and one diagnosed with Dementia, making a total of 4. The elevator malfunctioned which left us stuck for 20 minutes. We continued to press and hold the EMERGENCY and phone buttons and never received any assistance from the resort staff. There was no internet reception in the elevator, so we proceeded to reach out to the other persons in our group. She went immediately to the front lobby of the Hideaway to solicit assistance. None of the staff left to come assist us. They continued with their work of checking new arrivals in. No staff came to our rescue. We were detained in a hot elevator without any assistance. 20 minutes later, the door opened enough for us the prey it open in order to escape out. The elevator was approx. 1 foot between floors. We were able to get our loved ones safely out of the HOT elevator without the assistance of any Royalton staff. I completed an incident report and met with the Resort Manager the following morning to be offered a free meal AT AN ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT or a cabana!! I was so full of anxiety after this experience. Not only was there a safety failure, there was a lack of Emergency response or assistance and a HORRIBLE vacation experience. Some of the staff encounters were rude: the food truck lady and the bartender near the kids pool. I spotted roaches 2 times, 1 in our bathroom. The worse vacation ever!
