We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lea at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. She arranged a spa treatment and answered many questions for us. The hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly. The breakfast was amazing and the onsite restaurant was delicious!

Terrible! Many of the nicest rooms — which depending on the season cost upwards toward 1,000 Euro per night — have compromised views due to construction. The photo of the view of the building under construction and the massive crane was the view I was greeted with in the suite which I was checked into. It took two days and nights of complaining - and getting Expedia involved — to finally be moved to a room that had a “sea view.” I did a little digging and learned that this has been an ongoing problem. The half-constructed concrete frame next to the Radisson Blu is officially known as the "Fikus" wing project. The concrete skeleton (Fikus wing) has sat in a stalled, unfinished state for several years due to various administrative stalls, financing shifts, and local zoning hurdles. So, there is a long sad history of guests having to look at this skeleton building. After a long delay, the project is now moving forward so that I was treated to construction noise beginning 7AM. I shot the construction video at 6:55in the morning. The project likely won’t be completed until 2028. But the sad story doesn’t end there. As you can clearly see from the attached photos, the views from much of the outdoor public space in the hotel are marred by an abandoned building covered with graffiti. The graffiti-covered concrete structure right next to the Radisson Blu (see photos) is a multi-story unfinished building frame that has spent years sitting in legal, financial, and administrative limbo. Unlike the active excavation work happening nearby for other hospitality projects, this graffiti covered abandoned massive building skeleton has remained a lingering symbol of stalled development along the Split coastline. The gym unfortunately is not 24 hours. It is buried in the spa complex and does not open until 7AM and does not have the breadth of dumb bell weights that you typically find in a well equipped hotel gym. Moreover you might get chastised by the desk lady who tried to evict me from the gym because I didn’t have appropriate footwear. Except, I did have appropriate footwear for a gym. The same footwear I wear in my home gym and in gyms around the world. The room furniture is a joke. It is IKEA type stuff that you would find in a university dorm room or a youth hostel. And, some of the furniture is stained and not clean. I’ve spent 200 to 250 nights on travel the past 30 years, mostly at luxury hotels. On this trip I’ve been very happy driving up the beautiful coast at hotels in Saranda Albania, Vlore Albania, Kotor Montenegro, amd Dubrovnik Croatia. But not this place. They have the temerity to charge exorbitant prices for a sad and lacking experience. You’ve been warned.
