This hotel is situated in a quiet location on the coast of Babin Kuk peninsula near the old town of Dubrovnik, surrounded by green Mediterranean oasis. It is just 300 m from the beach and 6 km from the town centre. Links to public transport can be found in the immediate vicinity while the airport is at 23 km away. Guests can enjoy a stay in a comfortable, stylish room with balcony. In-room amenities include air-conditioning, safe, LCD TV, minibar and bathroom with hairdryer. Guests can relax in the wellness zone or by the fantastic outdoor infinity pools with a view of the sea and nearby islands. Diving and water sports centres are located just 250 m from the hotel. Guests can spend their days in active recreation and return for rest and entertainment to the hotel.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel had amazing staff, beautiful pool views and easy beach access. The food was spectacular and the place was overall kept very clean, my only suggestion would be that the corridors smelt of smoke, ie, smoking in the corridors which was sometimes uncomfortable. Moreover it just so happened for the aircon to break in our room, however the accident was quickly resolved with the help from a speedy front desk service. Top credits to the concierge!
We have just finished a 9 day stay as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) the hotel is very clean, the pool area has great views. Was nice to be able to get sunloungers without having to be down at the crack of dawn. We would go down about 8.20am and always managed to get 4 beds together. It would be nice if there was some music played around the family pool for a bit of atmosphere. They only play quiet music around the adult only pool. There is no daytime entertainment apart from the aqua aerobics which was done by Tony who was great, full of energy & was nice to actually hear some music for 30mins. The evening entertainment was just live music each night, gentle slow songs, nothing upbeat so you need to go out if you want anything lively & not of interest to the kids. We got the bus no.6 to the main town quite a few times as felt more lively & entertaining. Bus there was great as hotel is the 1st bus stop but coming back the bus stop is crowded so take in to account you may have to wait a while to be able to get a bus back.
The private beach you can use while staying at the hotel is a small stony beach & does get deep quite close and you still have to pay for sunloungers which it does not say when booking. Was discounted to €25 for 2 beds so for us meant €50 just for the beds which can amount to a lot if you are beach lovers. The other local beaches are all beach clubs so again are pricey.
There are 3 restaurants & a couple of little mini markets within walking distance but not much else.
We have enjoyed Croatia as we booked a few trips via get your guide but think with teenagers we would opt for somewhere more lively with hotel entertainment next time and more within walking distance.
This hotel is in a good location, it's got plenty of beaches nearby with easy access. The ones we went to were Copacobana and the president hotel one, at both you do not need to purchase sunloungers and parasols but be aware if you don't then you will be exposed in the sun unless you find shade or make your own. ( 50 euro for x2 at president hotel) The beaches were clean and rocky / concrete with clear water and good to snorkel in and had bars/cafes, showers etc. You can catch the number 6 bus outside the hotel to take you into the old town, it costs 2.50 otherwise you can buy a Dubrovnik pass which gets you unlimited bus rides and access to select tourist attractions like the city walls. The hotel itself had a good variety of amenities, 2 main outdoor pools with beautiful views of the sea and islands, I loved the fact you cannot reserve sunloungers, from what I believe you can leave your bed for 90 mins before your belongings are removed. There is also a large indoor pool, 2 saunas and cold bucket shower. There is a library and hammock downstairs which I made use of some evenings. The food in the main breakfast and dinner restaurant had a good variety every night, salads, meats, fish, breads, a lot of condiments and oils and seasonings. It was all fresh and well presented, the deserts were good too with lots of options, cakes, ice cream etc. Drinks you pay for yourself which were a standard price for this area. The staff in this hotel were all polite and helpful, always greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. There is a small shop inside the hotel but if you go out the doors beside the main restaurant you will be led to some more shops/ restaurants. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was so big and comfortable, but I would've preferred the AC to be abit stronger.
Overall we had an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples and adults, probably not children as i don't believe it really caters towards them.
We spent 3 nights at the hotel following a Cruise and wished we had booked for longer! The Prosecco and flowers were very much appreciated and enjoyed sitting on our balcony enjoying the view across the garden to the sea. Very comfortable bed and bedding and walk in shower with good water pressure. The hotel is very stylish, clean and comfortable in all areas with friendly and helpful staff. We were half board and found the buffets at breakfast and dinner delicious. After dinner we would sit and listen to the musicians in the outside bar area enjoying a liqueur. Certainly a hotel to which we would like to return. Thank you!
First of all I am writing this review a year late!! But wanted to review this amazing hotel.
The hotel itself is stunning and well looked after. The pool area is also stunning with the most absolutely beautiful views across the bay - really special! This was the best part of the hotel for us, it really was a gorgeous place to sit and enjoy the sun! The pools were lovely and refreshing and generally plenty of sunbeds available (another plus point for us!) - you could mostly get one at any point in the day.
Our room was lovely and clean and modern with a great bathroom. We had booked a sea view although had what I would describe as a side-on sea view overlooking the grounds - slightly disappointing but it was still very nice and you could see over the bay.
The restaurant was great with lots of choice - I have coeliac disease so can’t eat gluten, and the chef would walk me round the buffet each day explaining what I could have. Each dish is also labelled with allergens so you could read yourself however there was a few labels missing/inaccurate - staff please check these as this would make it much easier for guests! There was a separate gluten free section at breakfast, however it wasn’t great and got more limited as the week went on. There was always bread but other things like individually wrapped muffins, which were plentiful on the first day, were not there by the last and I did ask. They had cereals but they were in an open box which was very unappealing as they would be very dry so weren’t eaten - staff please consider having individual bags of gluten free cereals then they will be eaten! Also a bit more variety of breads/cakes would really make a difference! The breakfast otherwise was great with lots of hot items. My only other suggestion would be please provide better fruit juice as the machine stuff was really not nice!
The hotel’s location is quiet, there are small beach areas nearby for a dip in the sea which was lovely. There are buses that go from right outside the hotel into town which we used often and was very convenient. If going into the old town I would suggest going early to avoid the cruise ship crowds!
In evenings they had different singers, it was all very chilled and they were very good but it was a bit repetitive after a week. The bar cocktails were absolutely amazing - best ever strawberry daiquiris!
Unfortunately, on our last night I was very sick in the night when we were due to check out the next morning. The hotel staff were very kind and allowed us to keep our room til 4pm as we had a late flight which was much appreciated.
Overall a lovely hotel - the restaurant and pool area had the most incredible sunsets which were a joy every day! A really beautiful hotel and a lovely stay.
