Lying amidst idyllic surrounds, this popular hotel is located at the heart of Amathus just 200 m from the local pebble beach that may be reached by using the hotel underground passageway. Links to the public transport network (bus lines), restaurants, bars and shops as well as the fascinating ruins of the ancient royal city are to be found nearby.
Renovated in 2023, this 4-storey hotel comprises 202 rooms and was recently refurbished to cater for guests' every requirements- business guests as well as holidaying families. Facilities include a vast foyer, a reception desk, a bar, a café, an Internet corner and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant in addition to a hairdresser's salon and a souvenir shop.
The tastefully decorated rooms each come with a bathroom or a walk in shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar/ fridge, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. Guests may opt for a room facing inland, with side-on views or direct views out over the sea.
In the outdoor complex is a pool complex with a poolside snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and bath towels that have been laid out ready for use (complimentary). Further leisure options include a artificial grass tennis court (floodlighting; equipment hire for free) and table tennis, whilst various water sports are on offer on the beach. Darts may be played within the hotel and there is also a sauna to take advantage of(with additional fee). During the summer, the daytime and evening entertainment programmes provide some amusement for guests.
Guests may select their breakfast from an ample buffet; those who opt for an all-inclusive stay may choose between a selection of warm and cold snacks at several times of the day. In addition, those guests wishing to undertake an all-day excursion are offered a lunchbox service.

Our second visit
We stayed the first week in September and had a room with an inland view, which was actually a lovely view of the mountains. As others have mentioned the check in was quick, greeted with a glass of fizz and a smiling face. I cant fault the staff they are friendly, helpful and very hardworking. The rooms are lovely and clean with the fridge stocked daily. We didnt book into The Sands, but definitely recommend the Al' carte restaurant. The food in the main restaurant is also lovely and you won't go hungry. We weren't overly keen on the drinks so bought off the menu several times, they were fab, although sadly we were overcharged when ordering over the bar, this we didnt realised until a few days later. The only moans we had was the reserving of sunbeds and not returning to them, and thought the spa treatments are over priced compared to other Atlantica hotels. The staff work incredibly hard, the guys serving around the pool are amazing, the entertainment guys work hard to keep you entertained, Thank You, it really was appreciated. We overall had a lovely week and met some lovely people

We had a great time at Atlantica Bay. The hotel was lovely and the service was great, the food was also really good - especially the à la carte which was amazing!
You did have to wait to be seated in the food hall for every meal, instead of just walking in and sometimes this meant waiting in a queue for a short while. The staff taking orders for drinks around the pool area were so friendly and really efficient and did a great job! So a big shout out to them! The rooms are really clean and they were made up every day, with new drinks/water put into the fridge which was a lovely touch! All of the staff in the bar upstairs were great also, the girls are so friendly and it was great having a chat with them. They can’t do enough for you and are so helpful. We did go up to the bar a couple of times to order drinks later in the evening, and the woman behind there was not as friendly unfortunately and slightly rude, we thought she might have been having a bad day but she was exactly the same the next 2 nights so we stopped going up! But the girls taking orders more than made up for it as they were wonderful.
There was a bit of an issue getting a sunbed if you went down to the pool too late, and would struggle to find one unless you were down by the pool by 7:30/8am as most people would be down and put their towels on them by then.
It was so lovely having so many cats around, most of them seemed healthy and you can take food/put some in napkins to feed them which they all loved (and some cups of water!). They have a collection box by reception which is a great idea. There were a lot of kittens there, which brought everyone a lot of joy and they were so so cute - however it would be really good to see more of the cats being spayed/neutered as I do worry what happens to them out of season and the numbers will just keep growing. I also really worried about them with the cars out the front entrance of the hotel, as there were several litters of kittens out there as well.
The entertainment - Max & Dan were absolutely fabulous!! Dan’s quizzes were really good!! Max really made our whole week, his energy and humour was like nothing we have experienced before. We don’t normally get involved in the activities when we go away, but this time we joined in for most things - and I have to say it was all down to Max. He is such a great guy, and everyone loved him. He really made our whole week, and I cant recommend him enough! So thank you Max, for an absolutely wonderful week, we loved meeting you and your passion and charisma was just the best!! You made our holiday so enjoyable and we hope to meet again.
Would really recommend the hotel and we are looking to return again next year! :)

Outstanding Hotel,staff and service
Thankyou for a wonderful stay in your lovely hotel,we were lucky enough to spend our Wedding Anniversary, and my Birthday with you, which you made very special. The staff in the hotel were so friendly and efficient in making our stay exceptional,a special thanks to Dean and Scott in the dining room,where we enjoyed amazing,hot tasty well executed food daily, can’t express how good the food was,something for everyone, ,service was outstanding.Breakfast omelette was the best I have had,so tasty and fluffy. The Entertainment team, Max is a super star, so funny, He will keep you on your toes, just great at making you want to join in. The only downside was the evening entertainment which was hit and miss,but the atmosphere made up for it. The pool was lovely,clean and warm,the pool staff are great especially Jasandra who made sure everyone was catered for, with a smile. Our room was cleaned daily,spotless,as was all of the hotel and grounds. We did the Catamaran trip which we booked through Lisa which was brilliant,so nice to have a rep on site which is rare these days. The library is phenomenal,you need to visit . We absolutely loved our stay here, we are already looking to come back Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday great.

Amazing week
Amazing hotel staff so friendly Max who was entertainment was brilliant lots of laughter and fun. Rooms lovely and very relaxed atmosphere
