Eleana Hotel

This has been the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. The problems started immediately and continued throughout our entire stay. There were so many issues that it honestly feels impossible to mention them all.

The room and housekeeping were absolutely unacceptable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the room was messy and never properly taken care of. Housekeeping barely cleaned anything. Our bed was not even made, and on the last day the cleaner took our used towels and simply left us without any new ones.

The bathroom is a whole problem on its own. There is absolutely no ventilation in the toilet, meaning it constantly smells like sewage and feces, 24 hours a day. The smell never goes away, and it even felt as though the smell from previous guests was still there when we arrived.

The shower leaks badly, so when you take a shower, water flows out of the shower area and across the entire bathroom and into the room. It creates a huge puddle of water on the floor.

The hand soap is ridiculously diluted, practically feeling like around 90% water. Even something as basic as hand soap has been handled with the cheapest possible approach.

The minibar/refrigerator is extremely loud and makes a constant disturbing noise. It is difficult to relax or sleep with that noise going on.

The air conditioning is another major problem. It is loud throughout the night and makes it difficult to sleep. On top of that, it releases so much moisture that the room becomes incredibly humid. The floor becomes extremely slippery from the humidity and can feel like an ice rink in the middle of the night.

The beds are among the worst I have ever slept in. The mattress is terrible, the bed has stains and feels generally disgusting and unhygienic. The pillows are possibly the worst pillows I have ever used in my entire life. There is absolutely no feeling of comfort or cleanliness.

The noise is also ridiculous. The doors are extremely thin and provide almost no sound insulation. You can hear practically everything happening outside, both around the pool area and in the corridors. You can hear people talking, walking around, slamming doors and making noise. At times, it genuinely sounds as if the party is happening inside your own room.

The food was absolutely horrible. The chicken in particular was disgusting and smelled like rotten garbage. We both got bad from the hotel food and suffered from severe diarrhea from day two until day eight, going to the toilet around 10–15 times a day. The food was by far one of the worst parts of this stay.

Stayed at the Elena 3/8/29 to 10/8/26, we had such a relaxing stay, we had a swim up room 002, the room was lovely, clean, tidy and comfortable, the swim up pool needs a little revamp though.

The location is perfect, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Ayia Napa night life but within walking distance if you want to go OUT OUT 😉 Plenty of shops and supermarkets close by if you need anything.

The atmosphere at the hotel is super relaxed, there isn’t entertainment every day / night but when they do have it it’s very good. All staff are super friendly especially Irene and the pool bar staff always looking to be helpful to everyone 💖

The restaurant and pool bar offer lots of food choices and it’s really tasty and it’s extremely clean.

There was some noise a couple of nights with other guests coming home in the early hours, but it didn’t last long and they were also on holiday enjoying themselves 😊

There are no sun-bed wars plenty for everyone 👍🏻

It’s definitely value for money and I would highly recommend if you want a relaxed stay with great night life close by and also within easy reach of the beach.

I would definitely give my stay 9/10
