Fedrania Gardens Hotel

The best thing about this hotel was the Ukrainian women working as hosts. She was kind, helpful, and genuinely tried her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I want to thank her for her effort, because unfortunately, the problems with the hotel itself were far beyond what she could control.

Sadly, I have to share my honest experience, because the reality of this hotel was completely different from what we expected based on the photos and description.

The hotel is extremely dirty, and the level of poor hygiene was honestly unbelievable. When we arrived, we were told that our room had been "upgraded" to a newer room. We were also asked to leave a good review. However, the so-called "newer room" was anything but new or clean.

The bathroom had mold in multiple places, the sink was dirty, and there was a strong unpleasant smell. The bedsheets, towels and mattress were also dirty and in poor condition. Some of the bedsheets had blood stains, yellow stains or holes in them. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel room.

The biggest problem, however, was the amount of insects and cockroaches. During our stay, we personally encountered around six cockroaches. Five were seen around the lobby and near the entrances of the rooms, and one was inside our actual bedroom. We also found what appeared to be bed bugs underneath the bed. There was also a large black cricket on our balcony. The whole hotel and surrounding area gave us the feeling that there was a serious insect problem.

Because of this, we became extremely uncomfortable staying in the room. We avoided spending time there during the day and, on some occasions, even chose to sleep at another hotel nearby rather than stay in the room.

There were also many other problems that made the stay very disappointing. The room did not properly provide shampoo or shower gel. Instead, we received extremely small bottles that were finished within a day. The room was only cleaned every three days, which would already be disappointing given the condition of the room, but the cleaning itself was also very poor.

The hairdryer was broken. The bathroom ceiling was leaking water. The shower glass door was also leaking water all over the bathroom floor after every shower. We reported this problem, but instead of properly fixing it, we were simply told to put a towel on the floor to stop the water.

The overall condition of the room was very poor. Mold, dirt, stains, damaged items, leaks and insects were all present. It did not feel like a clean and properly maintained hotel room.

Unfortunately, the experience also affected my girlfriend's health. From the second day, she became sick, which we believe was related to the mold and the very dirty air-conditioning filter in the room. Seeing the condition of the room and then becoming sick made the whole experience even worse.

What makes this even more disappointing is that the hotel photos online do not reflect what we experienced in reality. The difference between the advertised appearance and the actual condition of the hotel is enormous.

For us, this was a complete waste of money and one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. I am currently also in the process of making an official complaint through the booking website because I believe the condition of the hotel was seriously misrepresented.

I would strongly recommend that the hotel management take the hygiene, cleaning, maintenance and insect problems seriously. The staff members we met were friendly and tried their best, but that cannot compensate for the condition of the hotel itself.

Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not stay here again.
