Sentido Sandy beach

We have gad a lovely week here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the communal areas clean and inviting and the bar area a lovely place to sit and relax. We spent most of our time on the beach, not the pool but most of the beds around the pool did have towels reserved on them by 7.30am, the beach was busier in the morning and much quieter in the afternoon, plenty of beds. The breakfast was lovely with so much to choose from, breakfast was 7.15am-10.15am. We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurants but we ordered room service one evening and ate in the bar on the day we were leaving and those meals were delicious and great sized portions. The hotel is in a good location, there are a few shops and restaurants very close by and then a 20 minute walk away there are a few more restaurants and a very good pharmacy. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and they gave us a bottle of water each day, the only thing that we had to ask at reception for was teabags/milk/sugar as they seemed to forget to replace that. Having stayed at the hotel before I knew to expect a great experience but I can't praise the quality of the hotel highly enough. The staff are so friendly and helpful from Christina on reception to the staff that work the bar on the terrace through to Tanya, Victoria, Chrystella and Andy and all the other staff in the restaurant. They make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

The rooms are so clean and comfortable and the hotel is spotless.

Food is great especially the BBQ nights. Great choice of different dishes with different themes each day.

Had a fabulous stay, great atmosphere, location and value for money.

Will definitely come again.

When we got to Cyprus, the hotel was OVERBOOKED and we had to stay somewhere else for 2 nights. (We found out this is a common practice in Cyprus). It was a very uncomfortable situation for us. Some of the people at the reception are super cold and distant, making you feel unwelcomed. On the other side the waiters were very nice. The outside air conditioning unit for the building is located on the roof and is as loud as an aiplane flying over the building at close proximity. You cannot sleep at all if you get a room on the 5th or 4th floor (ask me how I know... thankfully, we eventually got a room on the 2nd floor). The rooms really need an update. I feel like they really are NOT 4 star rooms. Clean, but outdated big time. The food is average (not terrible, but not great). When we left, there was no "was everything ok?", "did you enjoy your stay?", "we hope you come back next year"... nothing, just check-out and a cold "bye" (no people skills).

I believe there are a lot of good things as well at this hotel but in many areas they are cutting corners big time and the online photos were very missleading (especially concerning the rooms)

On a brighter note, the outside garden and pool area is super nice. The pools are clean. The beach is nice and the sea water is clean and shallow.

Unless they stop with this stupid practice of OVERBOOKING, and also do a massive remodel on their rooms, retrain their staff and especially replace their outdoor main air conditioning unit on the roof, this hotel should be avoided at all costs, unless you want to ruin your vacation.
