One of the first things you'll notice about the Cavo Maris Hotel is its location. Set on the seafront – just yards from the beach, it's a picture perfect place to relax. The rolling grounds lead down to a perfect strip of sandy beach and the glittering blue Mediterranean.
Recently refurbished air-conditioned/heated en suite rooms have a balcony and feature satellite TV with English video channel, music system, telephone, hairdryer, safe#, iron and board#, use of empty minibar, FREE Wi-Fi, beach towels and tea/coffee making facilities. The Local Area
The Cavo Maris is a popular hotel, located in a beautiful, unspoiled, seafront location in Protaras, amongst extensive grass lawns and beautiful gardens which run down to a safe beach with fine golden sand and crystal clear sea water, awarded the blue flag. Within 2 minutes walk, there are 2 more secluded beautiful beaches. The Famous 'Fig Tree Bay' beach, at the Resort centre, is about 1.5 km down the road (15 minutes walk). A local bus service is available to the centre of Protaras (1.5 km) and Paralimni, the biggest town of the area (9 km), or to the nearby bustling resort of Ayia Napa (9 km). Larnaca International Airport is about 59 km away.

Home from home
This hotel is the best hotel on the island and the staff and owners treat you with every care and consideration. The place is so clean and attractive with all the comfort of home. In fact I call it my home from home because you feel like family when you are there. It rates 5 stars in my opinion.
A nice family holiday
As an independent travel agent I wanted to give my honest review.
As soon as we arrived a very kind man took our cases after checking in as we went straight to lunch.
I was not impressed by the lack of choice. There was no areas where fresh food was being cooked which I am used to. The salad bar was very basic as was the dessert area, they were both has small selections. The cooked carvery joint was dry at times. No one cooks fresh food, only slices up the carvery meat. Alot of food was heavily cooked in oil. Also the seem to repeat left over food following day/night by doing something different with it.
My next massive disspointment is how the whole pool area in the sun from between 3/3.30pm. There are plenty of sun loungers but most of them are in the shade from the trees or parasols from around the same time. Defo no sun anywhere after 5pm. We were paying for sunbeds on the beach but that was sunny only until 5/5.30pm. If you are sun lovers this hotel wont be for you.
The asthetics of the hotel are lovely, the pool area is lovely. However there is only one main pool. There is only aqua aerobics, no other activities around the pool. Hardly saw an animation team. No music either. its a very calm vibe.
The swim up pool is cocktails only.
Evening entertainment was a let down, it was in the restaurant area whilst eating, no actual show bar.
The hotel is not near anything. Its a 15-20 walk along a main road to Protoras strip.
The bedrooms are lovely even the ones that arent pool/sea view side. All lights and air conditioning is with a digial display panel. When you go toilet at night a blue sensor light comes on so thats good. The wardrobe lights up very brightly when open. Its a good thing when getting ready but if your trying to sleep and someone opens it, the room is lit up lol.
Staff are very friendly indeed. Waiters take ages to bring you drinks.
Overall the hotel is very nice but I wont return due to location, food and lack of sunshine around the pool

First visit but not the last
First visit to the hotel but won’t be the last. Staff are what make this hotel great everyone we met during our stay were very friendly and efficient especially Angela and Christian on reception. Saroj and Max at the beach and pool bar. Kim and Kyle who served drinks in the lounge area and Tisha who looked after us in the Stone grill restaurant. The housekeepers were all so hard working keeping the room clean and stocked every day. Stayed all inclusive plus so made good use of all the restaurants were the food and service was excellent.

Amazing
We just keep going back! Everything about this holiday is perfect. Special mention for Kris and Kristi at the spa. Their massages are amazing, we even went when we stayed in a villa in September. Thank you ladies. Top tip … go all inclusive plus. See you again in May.
