Lantiana Gardens Aparthotel

My family and I had previously been loyal guests of Lantiana Gardens Hotel in Protaras, staying there for three consecutive summers from 2023 to 2025. We genuinely liked the hotel, which is why our most recent experience was particularly disappointing.

There are positives worth mentioning. The hotel has many friendly members of staff, its location is convenient for the beach (approximately 600 meters away), and breakfast and dinner are generally enjoyable, although the selection can become rather repetitive during a longer stay. For September 2026 we had to stay elsewhere because Lantiana Gardens Hotel had no availability for our required dates. Nevertheless, we continued to visit its restaurant and paid for dinner there on several evenings.

As longstanding former guests, I also approached Reservations Department of the hotel with two simple questions, including whether three medium-sized suitcases could be stored for about six hours on our departure day. I fully accepted that priority had to be given to resident guests and that the hotel was under no obligation to provide this facility to us.

The real disappointment was the communication. Several polite messages initially received no response, and when replies eventually came, I found the tone from Lantiana’ Reservations Department and subsequently Management surprisingly inflexible and dismissive. This was particularly disappointing after three consecutive stays and when we had been seriously considering returning for approximately two weeks as a family of three in summer 2027.

Another hotel in Protaras, where we were not staying either (luxury one), subsequently agreed without difficulty to store our luggage for six hours for a modest fee. The contrast in customer service & relations was noticeable.

A hotel is, of course, perfectly entitled to say “no” to a request. For me, however, hospitality is also about how that “no” is communicated and how returning customers/guests are treated.

Sadly, this experience has brought our relationship with Lantiana Gardens Hotel in Protaras to an end. Despite the positive aspects of our previous stays, we will choose somewhere else for future holidays in Cyprus, and based on our experience with Reservations and Management, I would no longer feel comfortable recommending the hotel to friends or family.

We have visited Lantiana Gardens for the second time and enjoyed the stay as good as the first time. What to us, as a family, is a big plus is the fact, that to us Lantiana is very cosy and friendly place. Rooms are cleaned daily. The food was really good. Chiefs have one of the best panna cota, I ever ate. This years news on the menu is rosemary sauce, which was phenomenal to me. Moreover, guys are nice and friendly.

The staff: I was nicely surprised, that ca 90%, or more, of last years staff, we met also this year. Each of them is nice, a different person, but we really felt welcome there and had nice time with them. I could write nice words about each and every of them, but I have only a message to Alex, restaurant manager - file, I gained 4 kilos (because of the perfect full board combined with Keo, wine, coctails, brandy and zivania).

We, as family, will very probably come back again. Shall we go for holidays to Cyprus, Lantiana is for sure a place to stay for us. Even our sons said: once we are grown up, we come with our kids.
