Azia Resort and Spa

We booked hotel on half board basis. This has been difficult to rate as i would say more 3.5/5 Positive experiences for us were being upgraded to a jacuzzi in balcony which we really appreciated Lovely to receive fruit , small bottle of red wine and complimentary sparkling wine which i didn’t realise until 2nd day as details of this were by tea/coffee making facilities. Staffing levels are minimum, seemed like 3 in main areas but everyone really helpful, from restaurant staff, Sharia, Joana, Nino, reception staff and wonderful Paul, Spa ladies, Sanie and wonderful entertainment team, pool bar staff. Buffet food was good, we didn’t experience Italian as didn’t realise it was only open twice a week, by time we tried to book we couldn’t, but if you are bed and breakfast plenty of restaurants to choose from. In the evening by pool and restaurants theres a lovely vibe and atmosphere. We were fortunate we had lovely friendly holiday makers Hotel position is ok. A few shops and restaurants nearby, our favourite Baracos next door was fabulous Entertainment was good too , some better than others Large pool with plenty of loungers, however, if you like a beach you have to walk to nearby beaches, good way to get steps in! On the not so positive feedback Hotel needs updating, it doesn’t have wow factor expected of a 5 star, rooms definitely tired looking, we had ceiling that needed repairing. Shower is within a bath tub with a glass screen which doesn’t keep water in, first day we had to call maintenance as seal was broken, but despite this being fixed everytime we showered there was water everywhere on the floor. A permanent mop would have helped. Turn down service was inconsistent and water is not complimentary, we had 1 bottle on arrival and had to buy bottles thereafter. General cleaniness in hotel was again not of 5 star standards, throughout the holiday we saw same dirty windows on doors, by lifts, around the hotel. Walking along corridor you looked out on to a very dirty reception roof which I tried to look away from as there were couple of dead birds. We read about TUI having arrangements for cancellations and certainly experienced a very busy last night for us, hats off to the staff who had no extra resources to deal with additional 200/300 new guests. They were working so hard to look after us and new guests, I hope they all get extra pay when this happens. We were glad we left next day as pool looked very busy But overall we did have a lovely break. Thank you to all the wonderful staff!

Well what can I say? We truly had a great time in this holiday. I am writing this review at the airport, It is such a great hotel and everybody made us feel welcomed. Every staff was kind and friendly to us. The food was good with different selections each day like mexican night, italian night, BBQ night etc. The pool was amazing as well and pretty big. We enjoyed going into the pool especially at the pool bar where we can have a drink in the pool. Natalia the rep was amazing and such a beautiful person and always go out of her way to make sure we are having a good time. Me and my parents are deaf and she was willing to learn some sign language that we taught her and she did really well and it made my parents very relax. She only been there for just over 2 months and she is great at her Job and is a good assest to Azia Resort. I wish her all the best just like i wish everybody else. I will hope to come back in the future possibly with my parents or my kids and I would recommended this to anybody to stay at this lovely hotel.
