Just returned from a week staying in the Aliathon Ionian , overall a good hotel. The facilities were very good for families. The hotel block is very modern and houses a bar and restaurant for breakfast and lunch which were excellent. The food is very good, plenty of choice. Dinner is in another restaurant again very good with lots of choice. The al a carte restaurants Casa Del Sol (Mexican) and Mezedogonia (Cypriot ) were lovely but I struggled with the portion size being too large. On the downside we stayed in the Fishing Village which was very pretty but in desperate need of updating in the rooms. Bedding etc very clean and beds comfy. The gym again needs a deep clean and new equipment, very old and dated with no sanitation equipment. The pool and splash pool is excellent and the bar service good, try the Frappe with baileys my favourite drink of the holiday. Shout out to the purple team they were very friendly and always happy to help. Entertainment aimed at the families which was expected, ok but not overly exciting. Overall a good holiday.
Just returned from hotel after 2week holiday. Kids 16&12. Arrival: Late night arrival , taken to room in fishing village by golf cart. Fruit, sandwiches, bottled water in room. We had mentioned at time of booking that it was our anniversary and hotel had a bottle of Cava in room and a lovely note.
Room: Fishing village room, nice balcony, small kitchen area, double bedroom separate room, sofa bed and camp bed in living room. Room does need updating, ceiling in bathroom had been painted but excess paint was still spattered on tiles in shower. Shower had very poor water pressure. Room location was excellent walk on quiet main pool side always lots of beds available.
Pool: Excellent, lots of space and water temp was always warm. Life guards very alert and dirty glasses collected regularly.
Food: Very good choice at meal times but quality of beef and pork could be improved it was a little fatty at times Mexican and Chinese nights were the best buffet evenings. Fresh orange juice at breakfast time would also be welcome vs. Concentrate. Mexican, Greek and Italian options also available and were all very nice. Desserts were excellent, best we have had in any all inclusive the cookie cake was delicious. Our sons celebrated his 12th birthday while here , hotel arranged a homemade chocolate cake to room with a lovely note , such a lovely gesture.
Entertainment: Tui team were very good, so friendly, very helpful, climbing frame team and football academy were excellent the whole team were so friendly and a credit to the TUI holiday village brand. Lots of activities on all day if you wanted to get involved.
Location: Excellent, 5mins walk down to beach, then 15mins walk along beach into paphos. Buses available also on that road so very easy to get around. Taxis also at reception or on main road.
Issues: Very few its a very nice hotel, lots of activities, it is very clean, lovely grounds well maintained, staff very friendly, pnly downside were the number of cats around hotel, but seemed to be an issue in all hotels in area.
Would definitely visit this hotel again, would be even better with a few tweaks and upgrades.
Location It’s okay a short taxi ride into paphos harbour, I would definitely not stay here again we stayed in the fisherman’s village, rooms definitely need upgrading especially the bathroom, balcony never once got cleaned while we were here. They need to spend money on the rooms, Entertainment for the kids was okay the silent disco was really good. Buffet was good . If you like butlins/Haven you will like here. Seen a couple of arguments with people and their language was disgusting especially in front of kids , grown men….
The location was great, right near the beach and shops/bars with the waterpark a short bus ride away. The hotel was clean and had all basic amenities in the room including a kitchen area. The food was typical all inclusive - a good variety. Special shout out to Elena, the restaurant manager, who checked in with us every single morning to ensure my son who is coeliac was catered for. There was a good range of gluten free items available, and Elena was attentive and made sure he had exactly what he needed throughout. We are so grateful for Elena's help!
We had a wonderful first holiday as a family at the Aliathon Ionian resort. All of the staff we met were super friendly and welcoming, the food was incredible (tacos especially), great selection of drinks and evening entertainment.
Our five year old enjoyed the pool's, therefore so did we. The large adult pool gave her some freedom to experience swimming and also plenty of safe room to splash around where her feet touched the floor. Whereas the splash pool gave me and dad a break whilst we could watch her happily run around for hours in the water. And the smaller pool nearby we also really enjoyed as she could always touch the floor, and it was a bit cooler in than the rest.
We paid £30 something for a 3hr kids club session on one of the days which was easy enough to sign up for and our daughter seemed like she had a decent time. All the staff seem very responsible, fun and trustworthy.
Overall we had a wonderful time and were already planning on heading back in a few years, this time booking a swim up room.
