Princessa Vera Hotel Apartments

It needs to work on their service with providing the appropriate meals and care for allergic babies.

This really is an establishment of two halves. The perfect and the awful. I will begin with the awful and that has to he the food, especially if, as I was, on full inclusive. Breakfast was identical every morning and bizarrely offered rice pudding. The cooked option was bland and tasteless with no brown sauce and very limited sachets of ketchup available. (More than ine guest arrived at breakfastxarmed with their own bottles of sauce. Dinner was even worse every night it was a choice of beef stroganoff, chicken or pizza (although one evening burgers were on offer). Even if you're on full inclusive you can't get a juice, water or any form of beverage on demand as they turn the machines off. If you're all inclusive you can also get lunch from the pool bar between 13:00 and 14:30 and my tuna sandwich, chips and salad was actually the best food I ate at the hotel. Now the other side of the operation which was nigh om perfect. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, well decorated and kept absolutely pristine by the Housekeeping staff. In fact every area of the hotel is pristine. Two pools, and plenty of sunbeds. Staff are invariably polite and cheerful. My room safe died (€2 a day) on my first morning and the entire thing was replaced by a lovely guy with a drill within 4 hours of me. reporting it. On departure day if you can't get a late check out there is a luggage room to store your luggage and you can also use the gym shower to freshen up. The hotel apartments are situated in a very busy main road (so avoid a road facing room). Closest beach is about a 15 minute walk (turn left out of the hotel and left again to Municipal Beach, bar and lighthouse. Turn right out if the hotel for an excursion company (EOS) a couple of doors away which were very friendly and tours were fine. Futher up that road is the King's Avenue Shopping Mall. Buses run in both directions past the hotel to the left to Tomb of The Kings, bus station and Coral Bay to the right to Paphos Harbour and the harbour bus station (bus fares are all €2 single fare and cash only). There are numerous eating places around the hotel itself, but if the Princessa Vera could improve its food offerings you could happily eat in the the restaurant overlooking one of the pools.

We've just returned from spending 7 days here and if im honest the location is fantastic Staff amazing Facilities sadly lacking Food is OK but could be better

We stayed as all inclusive and seemed to get treated like second class customers compared to paying customers Even if you ask to pay for your food which comes from exactly the same menu the all inclusive option is way below what gets served to paying guests

Rooms very basic and we had room 313 (apartment) apparently an upgrade to a superior room poolside which we'd paid for ?

Rooms cleaned everyday and clean towels if needed

Floors swept and mopped but left very wet and slippery afterwards

Bathroom bin wasn't emptied every day which I see as a major health hazard as you can't put paper down the toilet!!!!!!

Aircon is fantastic although ours leaked water down the wall

Kettle had wrong plug on it and no adapter either !

Shower leaked when in use

Main road noise at night and music from Harleys bar

Plenty of worn out broken uncomfortable sun beds to choose from

Cocktails very sweet and sickly

Food repetitive and quite bland and boring

All staff very friendly and helpful

Only one lift which at peak times gets very busy and only 4 people allowed in at one time but cleaners use the same lift with heavy trolleys

Kitchen area light didn't work

Not a bad hotel but not great either
