Our stay did not meet the five-star standard we expected
I am writing to share our recent experience at your hotel, with the aim of providing constructive feedback that may help improve the quality of your services.
Unfortunately, our stay did not meet the five-star standard we expected, especially when compared to several four-star hotels we have visited in Paphos. In our opinion, the hotel appears somewhat dated and could benefit from better maintenance. The dining experience was also disappointing: breakfast was not consistently well presented or replenished in a timely manner, and outdoor tables were often left uncleared, which meant we sometimes felt obliged to sit inside. The food in the à la carte restaurants was, in our view, below expectations.
On a positive note, the swimming pool is beautiful and well maintained, and there were plenty of sun loungers available. However, the cushions were dirty, which detracted from the overall comfort. The rooms were tidy, but several practical issues arose during our stay: the safe needed to be repaired, the shower head was hanging loose from the ceiling, and the toilet did not flush properly.
We appreciate the aspects of the hotel that were enjoyable, but given the overall experience, we would not choose to return. We hope this feedback is useful in helping you make the necessary improvements for future guests.R
Food VERY poor
Do NOT waste money on half board or all inclusive. This is NOT 5* dining. Choice is very limited, it’s tasteless and above all it’s COLD. We complained as politely as possible and were met with attitude and denials. We are laid back guests and rarely raise issues but after 2 nights of the same and going externally to dine we raised it with management. Other hotel guests were saying the same and were met with the same attitude from managers. I would not recommend this hotel and it is NOT 5*. Beach is lovely, even pool is nice but food choice and quality are extremely poor.

Great for a relaxing hassle free holiday
We are nearing the end of a great stay at this lovely hotel. The room is clean with ample storage, bathrobes provided, powerful hairdryer, coffee pods and toiletries replaced daily. The spa is truly beautiful and we enjoyed a wonderful couples massage. The pool area is large with a clean pool and always ease in finding a lounger. Staff at the pool bar are friendly and service quick. We have opted for bed and breakfast and the breakfast options do not disappoint. There are many lovely tavernas nearby for dinner. The hotel is really great for the price paid. I wonder if those complaining could afford to stay at the ritz given their expectations. We would definitely return for a relaxing hassle free holiday in the future.

A wonderful experience
From the balcony of my spacious and clean bedroom, I’m gazing at the sea sparkling in the late afternoon sunshine. The pool looks fantastic with no sign of any rubbish (as reported by a previous review). There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and there’s never a problem getting one. The towels are provided by a member of staff on duty by the pool so it’s pretty obvious and we didn’t need to ask where we get them from. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, catering to all nationalities and I waited at least 20 seconds to make myself a cup of coffee (1 machine broke down while I was waiting and it was fixed immediately). In the evening, we can enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the sparkling sea and maybe enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants or simply cross the road to sample a souvlaki. I almost didn’t choose the Venus Beach hotel on the basis of the negative reviews but I went with gut instinct and I’m so glad I chose this wonderful hotel. I won’t bother checking the mattress because I don’t really care and life is too short anyway to sweat the small stuff. I can highly recommend the Venus Beach hotel, it’s fabulous and I don’t want to go home. By the way, there’s a great little beach as well with reasonably priced sun beds.

5 star stay
We came here as a group of female friends to celebrate a 60th birthday party. From the minute we booked we had 5 star service. I contacted Milena at guest relations who arranged for a chilled complimentary bottle of champagne in the room to surprise the birthday girl on our arrival. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed and had 3 plates of cold cuts, cheese, meat and cakes ready for us also. The hotel and room and spacious, beautifully decorated and smells fantastic. The location of the hotel is ideal for people looking for a slightly more relaxed holiday. The beach is a 2 minute walk and the sea was lovely to swim in with wave breakers perfect for relaxing in. There are a few pubs and restaurants outside the hotel within a 5 minute walk but for the busier area you want to take a 10 minute taxi up to bar street or the old town. It was never an issue getting sunbeds around the pool, it was a very relaxed area and the bar staff were happy to tell us about the local area. The food! I have to mention the food. The buffet selection was always so fresh- I have never eaten as much salad on holiday as the variety was just so vast and delicious, the also have a fresh pasta station with about 12 choices and different local and international dishes to choose from every day. We also had lunch 2 days at the pool cafe- the chicken gyros and moussaka were delicious. Again everything cooked fresh. Maria at the restaurant was so full of life, lovely and welcoming, always greeting us with open arms saying my ladies welcome I will get your wine of course 🥰 halfway through our stay we came into the room to the loveliest chocolate and coconut cake with a happy birthday message on it for my friend- another surprise from the lovely Milena at guest relations. If I had to change one thing about my stay I would probably have gone bed and breakfast rather than all inclusive as we did enjoy eating out in Paphos also and didn’t appreciate that AI guests were served drinks in plastic cups where ‘paying customers’ were served in nice gin glasses etc. this was a minor issue and only as I am a ‘nice wine glass’ kinda girl and to be fair we didn’t ask for it to be served otherwise as I’m sure it would have been accommodated by all of the lovely staff.
