Kontokali Bay Resort and Spa

A wonderfull hotel. My parents are elderly and I messaged the hotel the day before we arrived asking for an easily accessible room for them. They were given a very nice room , with lovely view and mine was just a few rooms away. The lovely lady who cleaned our rooms was super, she worked so hard , but always had a smile and a kind word.

The beach and pool were fantastic so clean , no rush for loungers , and good service in these areas. The hotel provided snacks of chocolate and sesame snaps by the front lobby which was lovely( especially for my 12 yr old daughter! ) The wine in our rooms was a lovely touch , as was the water bottled which was replaced daily. The restaurants were good. Breakfast downstairs was lovely, so relaxing and offering mainly Greek produce, whilst the restaurant upstairs had a huge selection of breakfast goodies, exceptional. Natalie’s restaurant next door was lovely too, the Octopus was fantastic and the staff were so sweet. We took the bus in to Corfu Town which all worked very well. Nice to see all the shops in Corfu town selling mainly Greek produce. All in all an extremely relaxing holiday , my parents who are 87 and 82 came away different people! Many thanks

The hotel is nice and facilities were lovely. But the service in some areas left us with a very negative feeling about the holiday. The hotel does have some staff that are not honest. We forgot a parcel in the room and 20 minutes later, we called the hotel to let them know. They said it was not in the room. We called multiple times, even after a couple of days, in case it was found later. But the hotel continues to say that it was not found. In which case it was nicked by one of the staff rather than handed in to the lost and found. I'm happy to edit this review if they locate the parcel and let us know but until then I will continue to believe someone in the hotel was dishonest and the hotel is also responsible for employing them. So be cautious with your belongings if you are there. However, the restaurant and bar staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. I cant say the same for some of the reception staff. For example: when we asked for a bottle of water we got sternly told that we were entitled to only one bottle a day... even though we had not got the bottle for the day in our room. It's a shame. The holiday would have been a perfect memory and an opportunity to sing the praises of the hotel. But the good things of the hotel were over shadowed by the dishonesty of some.
