Jo-An Beach Hotel is located at Adelianos Kambos in the eastern side of the town of Rethymno at a distance of approximately 7 Km, with the bus station 50 meters away and on the road to the Monastery of Arkadi. Adelianos Kambos has a beautiful beach stretching just about 2 kilometres, it is perfect for swimming, water sports and quiet relaxation under the sun. Furthermore, Adelianos Kambos offers to visitors an opportunity for more intense holidays in Rethymnon since there are many places to enjoy themselves like bars or restaurants to taste the local cuisine. Many shops cover all needs for possible supplies and shopping. For every visitor who wants to spend his holidays in a hotel in Rethymnon, near the sea, hotel Jo-An Beach offers them the opportunity to enjoy their with comfort.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
2 star at best, whole place is so outdated compared to other 4 stars nearby. Only positives at this hotel is the bar staff and that it is directly on the beach. They have 20 sunbeds for 200 guests for the pool and then want to charge you to use the sunbeds on the beach, we refused to pay and used them anyway. Food is average, if you’re half board you get drinks included with breakfast but not dinner! Requested 2 mattress toppers twice, gave up on that. We only had dinner twice throughout the week we kept eating out so we thought it would be reasonable to ask for a lunch voucher on our last day before our transfer and the receptionist refused that.
Absolutely fabulous stay. The food was fresh, varied and beautifully prepared daily. The chef realised we ate a vegan diet and went out of his way to accommodate us. The accommodation was always kept immaculately clean and the location was just perfect . All the staff were very friendly, very welcoming which made for a perfect stay on our holiday...Thankyou everyone ❤️
The rooms are nice and kept clean and the food is very good, but if you don't buy all inclusive you don't get water at dinner, which is stupid and inconsiderable. Also, the beach is full of rocks and almost unwalkable.
I highly recommend this hotel for guests with gluten intolerance or coeliac disease. The head chef is extremely helpful and takes the time to go through the buffet with you, explaining witch dishes are gluten-free. At breakfast, they provite gluten-free bread and pastries, and for dinner they will prepere special meals just for you.(like glutenfree pasta or pizza) They even make sure you can enjoy a delicious gluten -free dessert
I would like to commend the outstanding service and exceptional cuisine. Dining here was a true feast for my stomach and a highlight of my stay.
The food is incredibly delicious, fresh, and diverse. Even as a vegetarian, I was spoiled for choice, with a wide variety of beautifully prepared dishes available every day. Every meal is clearly made with care and passion, featuring wonderful flavors, perfectly balanced seasoning, and excellent cooking techniques.
Executive Chef Fotis Liapis is a true professional. He is welcoming, approachable, and genuinely passionate about his work. It is evident that he cares deeply about ensuring every guest enjoys a satisfying and memorable dining experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Ambrosia Restaurant.
The restaurant staff are equally impressive. The waiters and waitresses are efficient, friendly, professional, attentive, and always courteous. Their dedication and positive attitude contribute greatly to the overall experience.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. All the staff is wonderful❤️
To achieve a higher overall rating, the hotel should pay more attention to the condition and equipment of its rooms. The room was quite basic and somewhat worn, which did not fully match the standards one would expect from a four-star hotel.
In addition, several services require extra payment, including the use of the safe, beach towels, and sunbeds on the beach. This policy feels rather unusual for a hotel positioning itself as a four-star property. These are areas that could certainly be improved and would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
