Buyer beware
We booked this hotel through an independent travel agent but it was a Jet2 holiday. We paid an awful lot of money for a 10 day stay in a Superior Sea View room number 151. On arrival there was no electricity in our room this was resolved in around 10 minutes but not what you want when you arrive at 2am. Our Superior Sea View room was bang average, I’ve stayed in better Premier Inn rooms. No towel rails in the bathroom , just 2 hooks, one of which was next to the toilet and across the room from the shower. One of the wardrobe doors you could not fully open as it was restricted by the front door handle, just 5 clothes hangers per wardrobe, little shelving or draw space. We could only find 3 plug sockets and the decor was very tired. Our sea view was blocked by a huge palm tree outside our balcony, you could sea the sea through the palms and if you moved to the side of the balcony. Our balcony was uncovered so on the two days it rained we couldn’t even sit outside. Not Superior in any aspect.
The pool had 30 sun beds which had all gone by 8.30 as people basically started to use them from around 7.45 to 8.30 and once 8.30 came they went off to breakfast. Those sunbeds are extremely close together as well. Having to pay for sun beds on the beach is a rip off and we certainly were not aware of it when booking. €15 , two bottles of water, a slice of melon and a cold flannel. Waiter service but not consistent, first day we wanted to pay cash and got told we will put it on your room, next day can we have cash straight away in case it rains. Keep your receipts as we had two extra drinks on our bill when we checked out. Breakfast was very standard, lukewarm fare, with the exception of the wonderful omelette station. A toasting machine that was useless, with a single 2 slice toaster the replacement, totally inadequate. Always queues for the coffee machine as it was so slow, with people moaning about it. The “fruit juice” machine is also very disappointing. Basically the cold Buffett breakfast is fine. This is not a 4 star hotel, I assume it gets this rating due to having a Spa and a Gym. It is a nice 3 star but when you have paid 4 star prices it makes you feel very disappointed. We have complained to Jet2 and I did fill out the questionnaire and raised my points. Cleaning staff excellent.

Honeymoon
Honeymoon, and was everything we wanted. We stayed in a deluxe room and spent time at the pool and beach. The rooms are clean and spacious. All staff have gone out of their way to make our trip special. Amazing restaurants local and Chania 20 Euro in a taxi.

1 week stay in September
Me and my wife stayed at the Atlantica for 1 week early September. We stayed at the new side of the hotel opposite the beach. Rooms where very clean and modern. There was road noise, however not enough to cause any problems. Staff at this hotel are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and they really make you feel welcome. The pool areas are well maintained with extremly comfortable sunbeds. Breakfast was excellent and the staff catered for my wife who is celiac. The beach is stunning with crystal clear water, sunbeds are ok but not as good as the ones around the pool. The hotel is situated close to Chania which is beaufiful city, stunning harbour and a beautiful old town. A short walk behind the hotel takes you to the village which has some georgeous restaurants. My favourite was the Rustic garden which we visited twice. I would highly recomend this hotel and we will be back next year!

Lovely hotel
The hotel is lovely, Rena on reception was very welcoming upon arrival and always very friendly. We were in the original hotel and loved our room which was spotless. I was pleased to be on the beach side of the road. Breakfast was nice - they could do with a new toaster and there were long queues for coffee. The only downside is there is not enough sun loungers, even when paying on the beach, sometimes they were difficult to get if you weren’t up early. The staff were very worried we were going to run off without paying, perhaps if they arranged payment first thing it would save them chasing you down in the afternoon. There were bean bags at the pool but no sunshades. Overall we had a lovely holiday and did enjoy our time.

This hotel is some mistake. Expensive and totally not worth the price. Hotel rooms in extremely noisy area near the main road. The neighbour hood also quite load 1 especially noises from other hotel. Definitely is not location for any person who wants to charge batteries. The beach bar is expensive.
