Centrally located in Agios Nikolaos just 50 m from the beach, this hotel is an ideal place to stay for those wishing to explore the area. The town square is full of shops selling local crafts, produce and delicacies and the legendary Lake Voulismeni is surrounded by tavernas, cafes and restaurants. There are some beautiful beaches in the area, and the nearby town of Elounda and the famous island of Spinalonga are well worth visiting. The hotel facilities cater for the requirements of the clients. The on-site restaurant serves traditional Greek and international fare and the lounge bar serves refreshments and drinks. The modern, elegantly decorated rooms have balconies where guests can relax and enjoy views of the gardens. They are equipped with a variety of amenities to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Pets are welcome

Good location, everything else was bad
The hotel looks nice in the photos, but in reality it’s completely different. The only plus is the location. City centre, close to the lake, the sea and the main tourist spots. The beach next to the hotel is small — there’s a marina with yachts, and it’s not really suitable for swimming (I didn’t swim there). It’s a 20-minute walk to a proper beach. Everything else was disappointing: • Breakfasts were very poor, monotonous, with almost no vegetables. In a country with such delicious cuisine, for the first few days I simply couldn’t believe it. Dinners were a bit better — the meat was cooked well. • In the room, water was leaking from under the bathtub and there was a puddle. There are no shelves in the wardrobes, so there’s nowhere to put small personal items. • There was a loud constant humming noise all night long (ventilation or pumps). I came from a country where there’s a war going on, and these sounds were very irritating. • The service was terrible. At dinner they served water in large glass bottles. I wanted to take the unfinished bottle to my room, but the waiter simply snatched it out of my hands and wouldn’t allow it. I was in shock. When paying by card at the bar, the bartender kept asking for my phone every time!!! so he could go and tap it on the terminal himself, because the terminal was somewhere else. When I refused, he almost threw a glass at me. Very bad impression of the hotel — it doesn’t match the 4*
Great experience!
We visited the hotel in August and had a lovely nice experience. The staff friendly and helpful, and the accomondation was great. We enjoyed the themed dance and music evening. It was a truly memorable experience for the whole family!

Outstanding
Just returned from a week at the Santa Marina Unique Hotel. It's a 130 bedroom hotel, 50-75% full while we were there but feels like a much smaller hotel due to the personal service. Located just 100m from Ammos Beach and marina with several bars and restaurants. Agios Nikolaos centre and lagoon is around 500m. Our room was refreshed daily, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had a great view of the bay from our balcony. Rooms have air conditioning and double glazing, we slept very well, We were All inclusive. The buffet style restaurant was never overcrowded. The food was nicely cooked although a little repetitive, variations of chicken, fish and pork, but lots of choice. Where this hotel excels is the staff. They interact with guests making us feel very welcome and strive to please whilst maintaining efficiency. We would like to give special thanks to the following;- Stelios, the Manager, always around, not formidably suited up, very approachable and helpful. In the bar, imimmitable Dragan, he made our evenings, plus Soni and Manos. In the restaurant, Zoran, constantly replenishing food trays. And on the tables, Aspasia, Georgina, Kelly, Savvas and Manos, (again). For clearing and cleaning tables so efficiently. On Reception, Maria and Litsa who were so helpful and always smiling. We also thank the unmentioned, rarely seen staff - Housekeeping, Kitchen and Maintenence - that make this hotel so good. Agios Nikolaos is a wonderful place and Santa Marina Unique Hotel outstanding and well located. We hope to return.

Perfect family trip in agios nikolaos
We had a great time in Santa Marina Unique Hotel! The staff is very friendly, clean and comfortable rooms. Plus, a family friendly sandy beach is just a few steps away!
