The Filion Suites Resort and Spa is a tranquil traditionally styled property offering excellent accommodation on a 17 acre plot surrounded by olive trees close to the village of Bali (2 km). Bali itself has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a small, well protected bay that is excellent for swimming and water sports and with a complimentary shuttle bus service 7 times from 09.00am to 18.00 pm daily to the beach, guests can get there with ease. The taste of a cocktail or a snack next to the sea breeze is a memorable experience. The friendly water sports staff, will welcome the guests for a trip around the bay on a water-ski or fun-ride or take it easy in a canoe or pedalo with local charge. Private yachts, motorboats and catamarans are available for rent and sail, too. Tours/excursions service, wake up service , ironing service and a luggage storage is available. There are plenty of facilities for everyone at the Filion Suites including three renovated large outdoor swimming pools, two outdoor children's pools, tennis court / basketball ground / table tennis, a kids play area, an indoor playroom and a conference hall. The spacious fully renovated outside area with private terraces overlooking the beautiful gardens provide stunning views of the majestic Cretan landscape. Guests will also find an internet corner and those with their own computer can enjoy FREE Wi-Fi connection ALL around the Resort. The hotel offers also currency facilities to change on-site and the reception stuff will advise you how to visit the famous Cretan sightseeing. Every Thursday noon a cooking lesson by creating Greek Specialties is provided free from our kitchen Chef. Ah excellent treatment from the reception staf and especially from the young talented Dionisis who offered us all our needs. The cleaning staf as well.
Not the worst but more like 3 star
Cute sat on our 3 hour transfer to the airport! Don’t fly from Chania. I want to write an honest review. Our first night was not good. We arrived at 1:30am to find our rooms had been double booked. They sent us to a villa in the mountains somewhere. We were tired and hungry. We got to the villa and the front door was broken so we was worried as we had not been here before. They told us breakfast was 7:30 till 10:30 and asked what time we wanted to be collected for breakfast. We said 9:30 and they didn’t turn up till 10:30 so we also missed breakfast. The manager a lady with dark hair was amazing. Couldn’t apologise enough and put us in the new build rooms next to each other and promised a spa treatment (never happened) the pool in the new area is lovely and always loads of beds. Unfortunately the food at that snack bar is old reused food. Unfortunately the walk up the hill and stairs is hurrendus and I’d like to say we’re a pretty fit family. We skipped meals just to avoid that climb. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The snack bar at the top pool is a lot more fresh than the bottom. The entertainment for 3 of the 6 nights were great particularly the dancers. They were excellent and definitely got everyone in the fun holiday mood in the full bar. Breakfast was always good and fresh. The soups were nice at lunch and dinner and the salad always fresh but my fussy teenager has lived off chips for the full stay. The food is hit and miss, sometimes we enjoyed it but sometimes not great at all. (The rest of us are not fussy eaters and it was a struggle some days) The busses they offer to the beach are regular and easy to catch there and back. The drinks are very strong! Our transfer wouldn’t drop us outside the hotel so we had to be collected from the hotel car. This was free but on the way back was charged 10 euro. We was also told if we write 2 5star reviews infront of them we wouldn’t have to pay which we refused as I would want to have read more honest reviews like mine. It’s definitely not a 5star by a million miles. I’d say a 3 at tops. Once we got over it we overall enjoyed the holiday but we definitely won’t be returning.
Amazing
had a lovely time at the Filion Hotel. The service was great with everyone there was very helpful. We loved the bar, the selection was good and the food served in the day was fine. The nearby town and beach was lovely,
The best experience
We’ve just had a lovely stay at Filion Resort and had a great time. The hotel was clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was really good with plenty of choice every day.
A big thank you to Dionis, Smarina, Roland, Andonia, and Adriatik. You all made our holiday extra special. You were always smiling, friendly, and happy to help, and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. It's people like you who make guests want to come back.
Thank you as well to all the hardworking staff for everything you did during our stay. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend Filion Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Crete. We hope to see you all again soon!
