Extremely disappointing experience at Anemos Luxury Grand Resort.
We agreed with management on 30/07 that we would check out on 04/08. We even have their signed document stating βWill check out on 04/08.β
At check-out, Anemos nevertheless demanded payment for the unused remaining nights and we were told that the police would be called if we refused to pay.
We paid under protest.
They now tell us to resolve the matter with our travel agency, despite Anemos having collected the disputed payment directly from our card.
Signed documents, invoices and payment records have all been retained.
This is not the treatment we expected from a 5-star luxury hotel.
Still currently at the anemos on holiday and in-between activities i wanted to write a quick review so I don't forget. We are really enjoying everything anemos has to offer, our room is directly opposite the waterpark which is fantastic with three children. Golf carts come quick when ordered via reception and there is also a cut through to get to the main area within a 5 min walk. Weather has been fantastic, the mountainous views when sunbathing are sublime. The food is top quality, the buffet one of the best we've had at all inclusive tip, try the Greek white wine its delicious. The beach is lovely, warm water and lots of beds. Same scenario at the pools, always a bed so no need to get up early and panic which is a god send as always a worry on previous holidays. The staff are lovely and attentive... Evenings are chill and always something to watch at the stage area. We have a shared pool room and this has been the best part of our holidays. Very recommend and great value for this privilege. Rooms are big, modern, clean...serviced everyday and lovely to come back each night to. Would we return...yes we've already discussed the possibility. This is Greek hospitality within the environment of a five star service! A lovely mix of culture and modern amenities. Enjoy if you are coming here...and book a pool room! You won't regret it π
Not really a 5 stars hotel but max 4. Rooms are ok, we took an upgrade with a shared pool. Noise insulation is really poor, everything is an extra, f.e. the coffee pads in the room, water at the table, etc.. Hotel is okeish, but will not come back.
The location is stunning with beautiful Mountain Viewβs and of the sea. The atmosphere was one where you could fully relax because everyone there to make sure you enjoyed every moment. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff made you feel very welcome. We went all inclusive for a week and it was amazing value for money.
We stayed here as a family for a week and of the all inclusive resorts weβve been to it was one of the better ones. The food at lunchtime and evening meal especially was excellent. Lots of variation and top quality, breakfast was lacking, however. Not much variety. Staff were all very pleasant and willing to help. The main downside, for us, was the availability of and access to drinks. Yes, itβs all inclusive (although, not really βallβ inclusive as premium drinks were not included, even though we had booked as βall inclusive plusβ through Jet2, which as far as I can tell is meaningless), but drinks must be ordered via waiting staff. Herein lies the main issue, for us. At mealtimes the waiting staff typically ask for drinks orders when we first sat down, but after that weβd have to wait for them to come back, sometimes during busy periods there wasnβt enough staff to ask meaning we only had one relatively small drink for an entire meal. With two children this is more of an issue. At evening entertainment (βanimationsβ) time waiting staff is really quite low. Even when we approached the bar ourselves to place drinks orders we were told several times βsomeone will come to youβ, which wasnβt always the case.
All in all, a pleasant stay, but could be much improved by self serve drinks. This includes alcoholic, soft and hot drinks. Standard in many places weβve stayed before. We paid quite a premium for the all inclusive package, so weβre disappointed by this.
The water slides were great. Not the biggest, or the fastest, but 6 decent slides suitable for all ages. The lifeguard worked hard all week as there was one or two particularly idiotic groups, and she did her best to manage them which we appreciated.
We would consider returning. Perhaps not all inclusive though.
