Georgioupolis Beach

Currently spending my last day in Georgiopolis after checking out of our room at 12.00 today. The hotel staff have offered us towels to use around the pool today as our pick up is not till 19.40 tonight. We have full use of the amenities after yet another perfectly relaxing breakfast where the food is laid out to help yourself with all options from continental to eggs scrambled fried and boiled with sausages and bacon mushrooms beans cooked vegetables pastries fruit and cereal good coffee and my personal favourite the greek yoghurt with walnuts and local honey 😋 I have just nipped to the local shop to buy my honey to take home. The hotel is the perfect trifector with the hotel. Pool beach and georgiopolis village all within 10 meters of each other with everything you need for the perfect relaxing authentic Cretan experience. The hotel offers excellent facilities and we created our own spa day on wednesday when the weather took a turn up on the first floor there are the jacuzzis the sauna and cold plunge pool alongside the outdoor gym area and we booked a full body massage with Sindy to follow. The food at the hotel is excellent we stayed in a half board basis so breakfast was included along with our evening meal on the roof top restaurant also included apart from drinks obviously and certain dishes with an asterisk where charged at a fifty percent discount this covered an apertizer a salad and bread per couple followed by a main meal chosen from the menu. Highlights of mine were the Saganaki shrimp the breads and dips. The cooked in oil with tomato and green pepper and the Kleftiko and the beef stiffado the pizzas were also very good. Be ready to be full every night as they don't skimp on portions and although a pudding is never required they always offer a sweet treat or fruit to follow just a taster but more than enough. Our room was perfectly fine I booked the room that came up when booking the hotel next time I come I will upgrade to a sea view room as the views are not to be missed at sunrise and sunset. The staff at the hotel are all very attentive and friendly but never in your face constantly they are all there doing what is required to ensure you enjoy your stay. We hopped on the tavos bus to visit lake Kounas one day and then did the 40 minute coach trip from the main road to experience a day in Chania perfect if you can pull yourself away from the pool and beach for long enough. The hotel gives a very friendly family feel with Lisa the dog always checking everyone is ok and Lucy the hotel cat. Definitely a hotel that I would return to ASAP. without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at Georgoupolis Beach hotel. The room was excellent and the location perfect - just next to the beach. It's a Mid-Size hotel so we were given a lot of personal attention by all the staff. We would like to mention in particular Doreen who was always present to give personal service and also Jespina at reception.
