Situated right on a beautiful sandy beach just fifteen minutes outside of Chania on the island of Crete, this luxurious fully renovated beach hotel designed for adults offers a spectacular family holiday or romantic retreat of sea and sun. Guests might venture into Chania to explore its beautiful old town, or simply lounge in the sun by the expansive outdoor pool and sip a drink from the pool bar.
The spacious rooms and suites are bright and airy, all with an en suite bathroom and private balcony or terrace, and some with sea views and lavish private pools. Guests might sample traditional Greek and Cretan cuisine in the Matter main restaurant or 35° Cretan a la carte Restaurant, and enjoy a coffee and pastry in the Stellar Lobby Bar or Naked star Pool Bar. The wellness centre Orion Spa offers a spa, hot tub and fitness centre in addition to a range of massages and beauty treatments, and the hotel provides free Wi-Fi internet access throughout, all for a wonderful island holiday.

Very good location. Very calm hotel. Room with private pool is very nice and calm. The room is always clean. Very friendly people. The food is good but a little bit expensive if you should have to pay it.
Perfect couples massage
Our experience was lovely — the facilities were beautiful and the massages were so relaxing. Christina threw in a mini facial and was incredibly kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend!
A genuine 5* gem! Great staff and luxury in a small, boutique package
Asterion Suites and Spa is a complete gem. It feels like complete luxury where staff strike the perfect balance between warm and engaging and allowing you the space to enjoy the peace and tranquility of all the amenities, from its pristine pool to its multitude of places where you can relax and soak up the sun. All the staff work so hard and are clearly proud of the exceptional service they provide - and rightly so!
The drinks service is the best we've ever experienced and the quality of the food is 5* for its emphasis on quality, while ensuring there is enough range and variety for every type of palate.
We were also so well taken care for after checking out and being able to continue using the facilities as we waited for our evening flight.
Some might say that this hotel is relatively remote to the bigger tourist attractions in this area of Crete; however, I'd argue that this is exactly what you're paying for! You're getting proper peace and quiet, where you don't feel at any point like you need to compete for a pool or beach lounger. Also, it's affordable and easy to get a bus or taxi into Chania so you never feel like you're stuck on a resort.

Awesome boutique hotel
This was our 6th trip to Crete, we’ve never had a bad experience but this hotel eclipsed all the others by far. We can’t single out any particular member of staff as everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The pool and the grounds were kept immaculately clean. Our room was cleaned and serviced every day to a very high standard. Not once did we have any problem getting a sunbed or cabana. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to our friends and we hope to return there again in the future.
