Magda is a four-star hotel built in 1993 in a modern style. The atmosphere of soft colours and flowers will make you feel relaxed and comfortable during your holiday. The hotel is located in Gouves, 200 meters from the resort centre and 80 meters from a beautiful sandy beach, where you can enjoy a variety of water sports. With our comfortable sun seating areas, TV room, disco, indoor heated freshwater swimming pool, 2 freshwater outdoor swimming pools, fitness room, childrens pool, sauna (at local charge), jacuzzi (at local charge) and games room with pool table and table tennis you will be able to relax or keep fit during your holiday. You will also find a souvenir shop, a supermarket and a conference room with a capacity for 150 people.
The hotel has 124 luxury rooms. All rooms are equipped with comfortable furniture, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, air-conditioning (individually controlled cold/hot air), hair dryer, radio, safety deposit box (at local charge) and refrigerator (at local charge). Each room has a bathroom with a bath and a balcony with a nice view. There are also family rooms with separate bedrooms.

Ideal hotel for a chilled out break
Our intention was to fully relax in our short 4 night stay and we were able to do that here in this lovely hotel. We were in the newer complex and it was beautiful. We had a spacious room with our own little pool, comfortable sun loungers, very comfortable beds aswell. I slept like a dream. Walking distance to the local beach, shops and restaurants if you wanted a change from the all inclusive menu. I've never been to an all inclusive hotel before so I've nothing to compare it to, i did tend to stick to the same meals but the food was fine for us. We liked that the hotel was not predominantly British, with holidaymakers from Holland, France, Switzerland and Germany.. there was a nice friendly European vibe to the place. So, it served our purpose well and we would go back 😎☀️

Great except for the entertainment
This was our sixth stay at this hotel. We always get a warm welcome from the staff.
The accommodation is good - clean and comfortable.
We like the self-service drinks in the bar as it reduces queues but if you want a cocktail or spirits these are always served quickly.
The choice of food in the restaurant is good - we rarely ate the same thing twice in the two weeks we were there. The choice of desserts was really good and there was always fruit and ice cream.
There always seemed to be sun loungers available at the pool nearest reception. The other pool seemed to fill up quite early. We prefer the pool near reception as it's easier to move the loungers and parasol around slightly as the sun moves around. There was music playing at this pool this year which was sometimes quite loud and distracting if you just wanted a snooze or a quiet read. It also intermingled with the (different) music playing in the bar area. Some afternoons it was turned off till 3.00pm which gave some peace.
We like the location of the hotel as it is close to the beach and a few shops and bars. Also the bus stop is quite close by to get to Herakleion or Malia.
The animation team did games and aquafit during the day and this is the first year that they've tried to get us involved - in previous years, as soon as they've realised we're English, they've ignored us.
Our only real criticism is with the evening 'entertainment'. This consisted, mainly, of more silly games similar to the ones played during the day and on occasions felt more like being in a nursery than a four star hotel (playing grandma's footsteps and who could make the loudest animal noise amongst others). The guests are adults, not four-year olds! I want to be entertained not be the entertainment. I will give the animation team their due in that they did make an effort to introduce the games in English and German as well as in French which was an improvement on previous years and much appreciated.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and may well be back next year because the staff (particularly in the bar) are so welcoming.

Stayed here for elevan nights in one of the swim up rooms. True, the entertainment is focused on the French, so we never stayed to watch it. The food is OK, there is always something to enjoy from fish to meat to gyros. Overall I was pleased with what we paid for, would I visit again? Probably not.

10 days at the magda hotel
lovely hotel extremely clean food very good we were all inclusive the pools lovely to but the entertainment was not good felt ingnored was mainly for the french the entertainment spoke mostly in french wouldnt choose to stay at this hotel again due to the entertainment weather was hot to

Don’t bother if you’re english.
Do not go here if you’re english, all the entertainment is in french and they don’t make an effort to engage with you and you can’t really understand what’s going on, and most people are french. Most of the time me and my partner ended up going back to our room because we didn’t get what was going on. Food was good and i’m fussy so i think there was a variety of different food for you to chose from, a lot of meat and fish food and pizza. It is advised as 2 bars/restaurants and there is only one which was annoying so had to keep walking to the other side of the hotel. The hotel is absolutely unreal and the new part of it is so nice. The rooms were beautifully set out and the cleaners are SO attentive and kind. They always say Good morning to me and my partner and always asked if we needed our room cleaned. I’d say a reasonable value for money but me and my partner had the hot tub room and the hot tub kept going cold.
