Relaxing, calm & good for injuries!
Nadya at the King Minos spa was fantastic, she completely listened to my health issues and worked to deal with my chronic back pain. I’m feeling much refreshed after my experience, and even fell asleep during the massage! Would definitely recommend for all visitors to the hotel. Thank you Nadia!
Great all-inclusive stay, but room for improvement around the pool
We stayed at this hotel as a couple for seven days on an all-inclusive basis.
Overall, the food is good, with enough variety for a one-week stay. Without the all-inclusive package, however, food and drinks seem quite expensive,a Coca-Cola, for example, costs €5. What we found a little strange is that well-known alcohol brands such as Havana Club, Captain Morgan and Absolut Vodka are included in the all-inclusive package, while something as simple as iced tea is not.
The rooms are perfectly fine and the staff are generally friendly. The Filipino staff in particular are incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive. A few members of staff working at the pool bar in the evenings came across as slightly arrogant, but this was definitely not representative of the staff overall.
The pool area is beautiful, although the water is extremely cold. It’s great for a quick cool-down, but not very inviting if you actually want to spend time swimming. It would make a big difference if the pool were heated just a few degrees, as we would definitely have used it much more.
One of the main areas for improvement is the management of the sunbeds and towels. On arrival, you receive information clearly stating that reserving sunbeds with towels is not allowed. Unfortunately, this rule does not seem to be enforced at all. Sunbeds, especially those around the pool, are already reserved with towels early in the morning, which can make finding a place quite frustrating.
Pool towels are also regularly unavailable. Some guests take two towels per person, and before long the supply is gone. This could easily be improved by having a staff member manage the towel station and hand out towels, rather than having guests take them themselves from a large box. The same applies to the sunbeds: a little more supervision would make the pool area much more enjoyable and fair for everyone.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel has a lot going for it, particularly the food, rooms and friendly staff, but better management around the pool area would make a noticeable difference.
not a good all inclusive, nice room with private pool
I’ve seen loads of great reviews prior to going but unfortunately I wouldn’t say it was that great. It’s a nice hotel if you want a long weekend but I think anything longer it’s a pretty boring resort. They have entrainment but I’m not 100% sure it matches the age groups as good as it could of. Unfortunately again I wouldn’t choose all inclusive at this hotel as there’s a lot of hidden charges for drinks and food There is only one buffet at set times and anything out of this window on all inclusive you would have to pay for which I don’t think is great at all ( you can get a few little snacks by the pool but again not giving all inclusive £4K holiday ) There is only one bar for the whole hotel which is by the pool, so in the day time when people are sweating and wet sit on the same chairs and beds as you would in the evening while you are dressed up, we found that set up rather odd and not very luxury 5*
I am aware you can definitely do this hotel on a cheaper budget and if that is an option I’d choose that, but definitely not an all inclusive hotel at all.
Sometimes it’s the small things like a daily stocked mini bar in room if you’ve paid all inclusive which you don’t get. It is stocked once when you arrive and that’s it
There’s not really anywhere to walk around or go to In the hotel unless your room is further out there isn’t anything like alternative seating areas with bars or different food spots etc
Unfortunately it rained for 3 days which again wasn’t the hotel faults but unfortunately wasn’t the best hotel to be in those conditions with the bar being outside limited seating options there and no where else to go for a drink
The thing that sold us this hotel was the rooms and being able to have your own private pool so probably is my own fault for falling for a bedroom instead of the actual hotel as it wasn’t the cheapest at £4K for 2 people.
Pros. •The area is good as you can walk to shops, bars and restaurants outside of the hotel •Room with private pool was great •The food in the buffet was nice and mostly different every night
I’d only recommend this hotel if you’re wanting a relaxed short break, there are much better hotels for the price we paid and will be trying ikos hotels in Greece next for a real all inclusive experience
Amazing hotel
Now this is what you call a 5* hotel. I don’t care what anyone says this is the best hotel I’ve ever been to in my life. I went in October so I don’t know about the busy peak times but all I can say is WOW WHAT A HOTEL
Amazing Massage with Dina!
Fantastic back, neck and shoulder massage at the spa with Dina! I couldn’t recommend her enough. The massage was incredibly relaxing and exactly what I needed while on holiday. Dina was so professional, attentive and made me feel completely at ease. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed and with all the tension worked out. Thank you, Dina, for such a wonderful treatment!
