Amazing staff!
Lovely hotel right on the very beach front, which was amazing eating on the shoreline to the sound of the sea. The sea was warm and calm and clear, well on most of our days anyway! Nice rooms with very comfy beds and the vibe is very calm and quiet perfect for a restful break as it's adults only. Food was local and lovely each time we ate, all inclusive wine was unusually nice! Special shout out to the lovely Zoe in the dining room who made our stay special as it was our anniversary and who upgraded us to their sister hotel (see another review!), we were sad to leave Andreas in the bar who was fantastic. Would definitely return, thanks for a lovely stay and thanks again Zoe x

All inclusive at the Giannoulis Grand Bay Crete
- We arrived late at night and was dealt with immediately. Easy booking in and told to pay the £70 euro tax when convenient.
- Room was very clean and the beds super comfortable The shower was a good size and the shower products were superb. There was a coffee machine and a kettle with plenty of coffee and different teas. We were not ultra inclusive so did not have a stocked mini bar though in fairness we do not sit in the room and drink ! We were amazed that we had a sea view room.
- The food was excellent with plenty of choice and there is something for everyone. Breakfast was a great selection of cereals hot food fruit and everything you could hope for.
- The drinks on the all inclusive were local brand though we didn't mind. Andreas the main poolside bar tender was superb and was great to chat to. He had a rare ability of remembering everyone's name ! He has some great suggestions for days out. Super friendly and funny with it.
- All of the staff work so hard and everyone was super polite. The managers make sure there are always something going on from wine tasting to food events. We were always greeted with warmth.
- The hotel was virtually on the beach and honestly we were in love with the place. Some of the hotel is a little dated but who cares this place is amazing we loved it. We have stayed at the residence in Fethiye the last few years and genuinely this was a fraction of the price but we enjoyed it more. Quiet relaxing overall an amazing hotel.
- The gym is small and only has the most basic of equipment however you can still get a work out in.
- The massage service was good and in fairness a fraction of the price of some other holiday destinations.
- We loved the area and went for walks every day.
- The beach was super clean and there are jet skis and speedboats for hire nearby. Also there are lifegurads who are very pro active in making sure people stay within the safe swimming areas ! We will most certainly be making a return as soon as possible. Maybe upgrade to ultra inclusive for a better experience but again we were not bothered. Best holiday so far so big thanks to everyone working at the hotel........

Really did enjoy hotel, but needs some m inor attentions.
Lovely hotel, great food. Staff amazing. Amazing room. One problem, i have a mobility walker and there are too manr ramps and steps. I had ground floor room, down three steps, walk a few yards, down two more steps. To get to restaurant ramps over pools, slope down to restaurant from main floor, OR steep ramp down at side of restaurant. Great thing was, i have severe allergies and each day the manu was handed to me with my room number on it and all meals i could eat were highlighted by Zoey. FANTASTIC./ Would go back but will need lot's of exercise to manage without walker, maybe sticks instead.
Each section of rooms had own pools BUT, no hand rails to help get in or out.
Great value for money and we would go back in a heartbeat!
Grand Bay is in a lovely quiet part of Crete, right on the beach. The hotel is extremely friendly and attentive to your every need, nothing was too much trouble from the minute we arrived to when we left. We booked a Double Room with Sea View, Shared Pool and Balcony (Room 208) which was perfect as you could see the beach from the sun loungers and even hear the sea at night. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh linen and towels only sorry we didn’t get the lady’s name but she was so sweet. We booked All Inclusive and needed nothing more. The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner had a great selection and Zoe the restaurant manager and her team were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Lefteris, Madolin, and many others in the team were so efficient in topping up drinks and clearing away empty plates! The pool and main bar staff were amazing. Andreas at the pool bar was the best bar man ever, learnt everyone’s name and drink on first meeting and never forgot. So professional, polite and friendly it was a pleasure ordering your drink from him! Adriano came to your lounger twice a day to take your order and bring the drink to you on pool side! Costas at the main bar at night was always friendly and remembered what you were drinking the night before! There was entertainment every other night which finished at 11pm. George in the spa gives a great back massage which my husband thoroughly recommends! This hotel is great value for money and we would go back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful stay!
We had an amazing week at Grand Bay Beach. Beautiful suroundings, comfortable beds, big room, fantastic poolarea, perfect service and view over the beautiful ocean all the time. Hopefully we’ll come back soon!
