Minoa Palace Resort
It was our first visit to Crete and the Minoa Palace resort. What a fantastic hotel and resort. Plenty of activities for everyone. The staff were so friendly, helpful and informative. The facilities were first class. The room was very clean, spacious with lounge seating and a balcony with a table and chairs. Air conditioning also available. The swimming pools were excellent with the option of walking over the pedestrian bridge to another pool, bar, restaurant and the beach with free beds and waiter service. There was an unlimited towel exchange service to use for the pool or beach. Excellent choice of food from the buffet breakfast and plenty of options to eat for lunch also. The wine discovery evening was a perfect way to end our holiday with great food and wines.

Relaxing stat at the Minoa Palace
A truly wonderful stay at Minoa Palace ❤️
We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Minoa Palace Hotel, and we honestly didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, we felt so well looked after. The service was amazing throughout our stay, with such friendly, helpful and attentive staff who really made us feel welcome.
The hotel itself is beautiful and the amenities are fantastic. Our favourite part was definitely the swimming pool area on the older side of the hotel. It had such a lovely, peaceful atmosphere and was the perfect place to relax and unwind.
One thing we particularly appreciated was the hotel’s policy on sunbeds. Reservations are not allowed and, importantly, this was actually enforced. It meant that we never had to get up early or rush down to the pool to claim a sunbed. No matter what time of day we went, we were able to find somewhere to relax. It made such a difference and created a much more enjoyable and relaxed experience.
If we had one suggestion for the hotel, it would be to look at the plumbing. Some of it is clearly quite old and it can be surprisingly noisy, particularly when other rooms are using their bathrooms. It certainly didn’t ruin our stay, but updating this would make the experience even better.
Overall, we absolutely loved our time at Minoa Palace. It was everything we could have hoped for from a relaxing holiday, and we came away feeling genuinely sad to leave. We would happily return and would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to others. Thank you to everyone at Minoa Palace for making our holiday so special. ❤️
Relaxing, beautiful location and great amenities
Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Penelope greeted us, took us to our rooms and provided helpful info on several occasions- always with a warm sincere smile. Rooms were spacious, balcony a piece of heaven with table , chairs as well as lounge chairs! Lots of good towels. Real luxury to be able to exchange your swimming towel as many times as you wanted! Food was much better than the usual buffet. Highly recommend the al la carte options- reasonably priced and lots of tasty options. Nice beach access With pedestrian bridge - thought it would bother me - but it was easy and sort of nice to be separated from the main pools
Romantic Honeymoon Sunset Dinner
We had the most beautiful romantic sunset dinner on the beach at Minoa Palace during our honeymoon. The setting was incredible, watching the sun go down with the sea just in front of us — it felt really special.
A special thank you to Irine, who looked after us so wonderfully throughout the evening. She was warm, attentive and made sure everything was just right without ever being intrusive.
It was such a lovely experience and one of the evenings we’ll remember from our honeymoon. Thank you, Irine, for helping make it so special.

Everything went great last year. This year, there are far more small children. People show up to dinner in sneakers and ripped jeans. Apparently, breastfeeding at the dinner table is perfectly normal too, since no one says anything. Next year, they’ll probably have Bamse the Bear there to entertain everyone as well.
