The hotel is located by the beach and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It is 2 km from the town centre of Rethymnon, which is located on the Greek island of Crete.
This hotel is built in modern Greek style and features a TV lounge, children's playground, bar, restaurant, conference facilities, Internet access and a car park.
All rooms are equipped with telephone, satellite TV, radio, hairdryer, safety deposit box, fridge, bath/shower and WC. Individually regulated air conditioning (June-October for minimum 12 hours daily) and heating are provided and the rooms are also furnished with a balcony and a clothes rack.
The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools with a separate children's swimming area and a poolside snack bar. Guests may also relax on the sun terrace under the parasols on sun loungers. The hotel offers several other recreational facilities, including a gym, hot tub, sauna, steam room, massage and spa treatments.

A good hotel
Location of hotel very good, we had a great view of the sea from our room.
I am gluten free, so food is always a concern. Here I was well looked after, the Maitre d' Joanna was great and had a list of what I could and could not have. Plenty of choice and mostly freshly cooked for both breakfast and dinner.
Room was clean and well provided.
Two small moans, the price of bar drinks and the lack of small bottles of mineral water.
Also the evening entertainment could have been better. The man doing Greek dancing did not invite everyone to join in and was a bit insulting to a tall girl, making obvious reference to her height. Unnecessary!
Hotel is well located, on the pickup route for tours and near enough to the town centre.
Fantastic 11 days
We were upgraded for free go the sister hotel Aegean Pearl which shares the same facilities except for dining. The room was great and breakfast fantastic. Had one evening meal in the buffet which was great. The aqua aerobics were great and the man doing it also led the free evening walk around the old town. He is an asset to the hotel. The hotel is highly recommended. Best eating place is Manolis a few hundred metres towards the old town where the food was fantastic. Great holiday

Low level of reception staff/especially MARGARITA/and hotel manager. Zero rating!
A tale of two experiences at this hotel
I am leaving this review with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the maids worked very hard and the rooms were clean. On the other hand, we received completely different rooms for the exact same price. Part of our group got a luxurious room for two people with a huge space, a bathtub, and a private outdoor jacuzzi, and some were even in a maisonette. The other part of the group, who had mostly paid for three people, were placed in small rooms where, apart from the two beds (the third one was like a camp bed), there was no room for luggage. In one case, you had to move the bed just to open the balcony door. The view was also facing an abandoned building behind the hotel.Of course, we asked at the reception why the rooms meant for three people were so much smaller than some of those for two, and the answer was concise... 'they just got lucky'. For me, this is a matter of a lack of basic consideration and organization. Unfortunately, I wouldn't want to rely on luck when going on a trip, especially when paying a relatively large amount of money. This is the reason why I am giving such a low rating.

A wonderful stay at the Aegean Pearl hotel in Crete
An absolutely amazing vacation as always. Clean and nice rooms, quiet. A friendly atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is located near the beach. And excelent and varied diet. This was already our second visit to this hotel. And oncec again very pleasant, wonderful and fabulous. We'd love to come back again. The big thank you to all the staff who ensure the hotel runs smoothly.
