The hotel is located in Rethymnon, a central town and one of the most delightful in Crete. The hotel is just a short walk from the picturesque Old Town and a few minutes from the large sandy beach.
This beach hotel features a total of 209 well appointed bedrooms and suites decorated in a modern style and with up-to-date facilities. These include a TV lounge, bar, conference facilities, Internet access and room service.ost of the rooms are equipped with one double or one single bed. Each room has an en suite bathroom with bathtub/shower and hairdryer. There is also a fridge, TV with music channel, direct dial telephone, safe deposit box, air conditioning and heating provided.
The hotel offers a variety of daily activities, allowing clients to exercise. Guests can begin their day in the gym and sauna or with a revitalizing massage from an experienced masseur (on request), then continue by taking a swim in the indoor (annex building) or outdoor swimming pool (main building) or simply by enjoying a fresh juice from one of the poolside snack bars while relaxing in the hot tub or on a sun lounger under a parasol. There is also a children's swimming area. Furthermore, guests may play table tennis, pool/snooker or bocce at the hotel and hire sun loungers and parasols on the sandy beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is at great location near the beach boulevard but in silent spot.
Rethymno old town is approx. 20min walk away.
Suite with heated pool was modern and clean.
Hotel staff were very polite and helpful.
Overall experience and atmosphere was pleasant, we would definitely visit again.
Myself and my wife stayed here in August and we loved it. We stayed for 12 nights and we honestly could not find one fault. The hotel is clean, with great facilities. The breakfast and food on offer is lovely and the location is brilliant near the beach and a supermarket whilst not to far into the brilliant Old town. The staff are excellent and friendly. Although we didn’t come with kids theirs a lovely balance between families and couples and enough pool spaces for you to enjoy. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
A very pleasant stay in a nice and comfortable hotel. The hotel itself is nice, with well-maintained rooms and good facilities.
The room was very comfortable, with a comfy bed and towels changed every two days. There was also a fridge, a kettle, and tea and coffee refilled every day. One important thing to remember: drinking water should be collected from the dispenser in the bar area near the pool, as tap water is not suitable for drinking.
The balcony was a great addition — it had a perfect size, two chairs, a small table, a comfortable seat, and a drying rack for wet clothes, which was very practical.
The hotel has two outdoor pools and one almost indoor pool, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and pool towels available without a deposit. There is also a gym with good equipment, including a rowing machine.
The hotel is located close to the beach — only about a 5-minute walk away. The beach is sandy, although the quality of the sand itself is not the best. The sea, however, is wonderful, with clear water and a very gentle entrance, making it comfortable for swimming and relaxing. The hotel does not have its own sunbeds on the beach, so guests need to arrange this themselves if they want to use them.
The location is also great for exploring the area. It takes around 30 minutes to walk to the old town, which I highly recommend visiting — it is a lovely place for an evening walk and discovering local atmosphere.
The food was good. The choice was perhaps not huge, but the quality was quite satisfying and there was always something tasty to choose from.
There were a few areas that could be improved. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and it would be very useful to have water dispensers on every floor, especially because the tap water cannot be used for drinking. In the restaurant, there were no coffee machines or hot water dispensers available during meals, so guests had to ask the staff every time for tea or coffee.
The evening entertainment programme was rather limited. The acrobatic show was very good, and the Greek dance evening was also enjoyable. Apart from that, the entertainment was mostly aimed at older guests.
The daytime activities were not promoted enough. Many guests did not know about activities such as water gym or dance lessons. The activity instructor was very nice, but she did not really approach guests to invite them to participate. A little more communication and promotion would make these activities much more popular.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the hotel. With a few small improvements, it could become an even better place for a holiday.
What a wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived all staff were so friendly and so welcoming, especially Eleni. The hotel is beautiful, the food is excellent and customer service is great. The rooms and entire hotel are immaculately clean and very well presented Location is great with only a few minutes walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the harbour and old town. I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful hotel.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Theartemis Palace. The room was beautiful, and the swimming pool was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and it was only a 15-minute walk to the charming old town, which was a pleasure to explore.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
