One of THE BEST All inclusive 'small' hotels we have stayed in!
5* quiet, adults only hotel! So relaxing with high quality food and drink on offer every day. The superior pool room is a must for tranquility. The a la carte Mistral restaurant went out of their way to make our 22nd weddinding anniversary a night to remember. All waiting and bar staff will do anything to make you happy. We booked a private transfer from the airport to the hotel via Love Holidays who we cannot fault! The cleanliness of the whole hotel was spotless! The sea was so warm especially at 7am in the morning! 100% would go back when R&R is needed! Thank you Creta Royal!
Only the best
We stayed here for 1 week in a double room with private pool . The first time we have stayed for a relaxation holiday (mostly we travel visiting sites daily and not relaxing at all). The hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean, peaceful, service is exceptional, food excellent and the deserts are to die for. Made in-house different selection each day (in 1 week I had 50 deserts) .
Some might say that's greed but I couldn't help myself. The beds are comfortable, air-conditioning superb. The staff are the best I have ever had the pleasure of being served by and friendly without being over familiar.
I could spend hours writing a review but will simply say, take a chance here if you just want to read, dip in the pool, eat good food and recharge yourself.
Particular thanks to restaurant staff (Aida and Labrini being two who looked after us plus the rest of the team and the Restaurant Manager) Location stunning!

Relaxing & Restful
We are on our last day of a weeks holiday at the Creta Royal Hotel, the rooms are spotlessly clean, all the staff have a smile on their face, are happy to help and make you feel extremely welcome from minute one. The location is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views over the sea and plenty of sun loungers to enjoy the view. My wife being vegetarian normally doesn’t have a huge amount of choice at all inclusive hotels but at the Creta Royal the variety of food choices was amazing at breakfast, lunch and dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The hotel grounds are lovely and we couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful location. The beach is literally on the hotel grounds again with plenty of sun loungers available. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday with excellent food, smiley helpful staff and spotlessly clean rooms then I thoroughly recommend the Creta Royal. Thank you for an amazing week.

Full on relaxation!!
Rooms- clean and modern with smart lighting options. Room cleaned daily. Fridge and safe in room. Peaceful nights sleep. There was a bit of noise early morning as the cleaners started getting their trolleys ready for action.
Food- one of the best all inclusive hotels we’ve been to for food. Lots of options and food seemed to be of the highest quality. Service in the restaurant was very good. Glasses filled up as required and dirty plates promptly removed. We also dined in the al a carte restaurant and the Greek Meze option in the neighbouring hotel. This was covered in the all inclusive dining and the food was equally as good with full on table service. The BBQ night by the pool was fab!! There are lots of lovely Tavernas in Crete if you did want to try somewhere different but we never got bored of the food in the hotel!! It felt like finest restaurant quality. If you sit outside it’s like being in a Greek Taverna. We dined at 8:30pm and never struggled for an outside table.
Drink- plenty of cocktail options. Wine and beer were good. Selection of drinks in fridge in room. Water/ wine in room on arrival and could always get bottled water from bar if required.
Pool/beach- plenty of sun beds. Maybe an early start if you want the premium positions but no early start if you’re not bothered where you go. Beach easily accessible from hotel. 2 minutes and swimming in the sea. Beach/ pool towels can be swapped daily at pool bar. There is a quieter pool if required but the larger pool was also quiet and relaxing.
Hotel in general- small so doesn’t feel crowded. All the staff work extremely hard and are eager to help with any issues (not that we had any) or enquiries. Everywhere is clean and the gardens are very well maintained. It did feel like a German hotel. It seemed to be presumed that everyone was German yet we met English, Italian, French, Spanish, Israeli’s, Dutch, Greek but definitely more Germans than others. Hard getting a smile out of the Germans but I will keep trying!!
Location- perfect for beach and sunsets. 20 mins drive into Rethymno. Worth visiting the old town!! Chania 90 mins drive. We also had a drive through the mountains to the south coast. Found a lovely little town Chora Sfakion. (90 mins drive). There are boats from here to access Samaria Gorge but good luck in the heat!!
Overall- outstanding relaxing holiday. We don’t usually return to the same hotels but for this one we will make an exception!!

Everything perfect!
Thank you to Creta Royal for an absolutely AMAZING stay. We had room 1015 with a private pool, and everything in the room was perfect and clean.
The food was incredible, every single dish was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the variety each night was delicious.
The pool and the bar were perfect for us, and the views from the hotel across the sea were sublime.
Every member of staff were polite and hard working. A special thank you to Oksana in the restaurant who looked after us so well at every meal.
