- I Resort Beach Hotel and Spa

This appealing hotel enjoys a great location directly beside the beach. It is only a 10 minute walk to typical Greek taverns as well as a range of shops and entertainment venues. This establishment is surrounded by a well-tended garden and welcomes guests with its inviting lobby. Guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining as this hotel offers 2 cosy bars and 3 restaurants. The rooms all come with modern amenities and a balcony or terrace, where guests are able to enjoy fantastic views. . Those arriving by car can take advantage of the on-site car park.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel is nothing like what it appears to be in the photos.
Everything is old, rusty, and clearly in need of renovation. The photos shown on social media were probably taken when the hotel first opened. The sun loungers are chipped and rusty, and the rooms are extremely small.
We are a group of six people and, unfortunately, we chose the all-inclusive package. The breakfast selection is very poor, and the service leaves a lot to be desired.
The price they charge for these conditions is far too high. Overall, this hotel is extremely overpriced for the quality and experience it offers, and we would not recommend it.
Awful, right now at this hotel, nicestuff is terrible ( especially at the main restaurant). Not five stars at all... Right now, having very bad experience with this Hotel The only smiling ladys are Natalia and Alica! I will keep writing reviews by the end of my vacation, but I have no hope that anything will change to better...
Crete is a beautiful place, have been here many times before. Greek hospitality is the best, I love them very much, but the experience from this hotel is the worst in my life. It's not 5 stars, it's not even 4 stars. First of all, and the most important is THE STUFF!!! Stuff at restaurant are rude, lady in spa which gives towels thinks that I must beg her for new beach towels. Impolite, rude, tactless.. rooms aren't clean, sofas at restaurants are dirty, glasses everywhere are dirty. I didn't mention about poor kitchen and bar, it's objective. Hotel sun-beds are full at 9am, you have no chance to use them, you must go to nearest beach and take sun-beds for money. Lady at the bar near pool gave me beer with a hair inside))
We had a fabulous 8 night stay at IResort in Stalis, Crete. From the start to finish nothing was overlooked. The welcome was lovely. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who gave us all of the details we needed for our stay. He also ensured we had a snack and the mini bar was full as we arrived at the hotel at 4am due to delays. The bar staff / waiters/ waitresses were so attentive and friendly, always a smile and nothing was too much bother. The views from the outside seating area were absolutely gorgeous, overlooking the beach. We visited the Salty Restauraunt and that experience was lovely too, sat at the side of the sea eating delicious food. The all inclusive food was actually really good. We never went hungry, and you can tell that the chefs take pride in what they are delivering for their guests. The spreads each day looked fresh, appetising and tasted that way too. There was a good selection and there were themed nights for food as well. The entertainment team “Pink Waves” were so welcoming and didn’t apply pressure for involvement. Adrianna and Olivia were fabulous and had such a great time being involved in the hotel entertainment in the evening, and I really enjoyed the water aerobics during the mornings. This hotel has made us love Greece even more and Crete is absolutely beautiful. There is also a wonderful excursion place directly opposite the hotel and the two ladies that run that are just a delight to deal with.
Overall from cleaning staff, reception staff, waiting staff, entertainment, literally everyone we came into contact with has been instrumental in making this such a beautiful holiday.
The room was always cleaned to a high standard and the beds were super comfy. The amenities in the room were fab - although we did have to ask for an iron and ironing board as this wasn’t standard - there was no extra cost for this and they let us keep hold of them for the entire holiday.
Extremely disappointing experience, definitely not a 5-star hotel. The staff is, by far, the biggest issue. Their attitude is consistently rude and unwelcoming. At breakfast, coffee is practically thrown onto the table while they ask “What else?” in a tone that makes you feel like you are bothering them (the blonde older lady and the tall middle aged man). The same attitude can be found at the bar, where a simple request is often met with a dismissive “Huh?” rather than basic courtesy and professionalism.
As for the hotel itself, it is nowhere near a 5-star standard, not even a 4-star standard in our opinion. There is rust and visible lack of maintenance in several areas, the swimming pool is dirty, and the sun loungers are extremely uncomfortable and look very cheap. The food is average at best and certainly does not meet what we would expect from a 5-star property. Overall, there is a huge gap between the hotel’s supposed rating and the actual experience. A 5-star hotel should provide cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail and, above all, professional and welcoming service. Unfortunately, none of these were consistently present during our stay. We absolutely do not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again. There are much better options in Crete for the same price or even less.
