Lovely hotel
As someone who reads a lot of reviews I feel it's only fair to write one. This hotel is lovely and all the staff are wonderful and everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was incredible so much choice, we ate at the hotel on one of the themed Greek Nights food and entertainment was excellent. Our room was lovely and kept clean everyday - additional bonus points there was a rack on the balcony to hang clothes/towels which was handy and a magnifying illuminated mirror in the bathroom. Our room was also close to the breakfast area and pool area so didn't have to walk far. There are 2 pool areas, both large one was shallow enough for my son (almost 3) to walk and splash around in which he really enjoyed, however the smaller shallow pool is missing lots of tiles. The pool bar and restaurant seats are very comfortable and it was lovely to sit around the pool bar on an evening and watch the sunset. To mention there was a lot of military helicopters and planes flying near this hotel mainly in the morning (this may not happen all year round - Im not sure) which are very loud. We enjoyed watching them but just something to be aware of. I was a bit apprehensive having a young child that this may not be suitable for us, but it was a great stay. Overall I would say the hotel is perhaps a little more suited to adults but I would stay again as a family.
Lovely relaxing hotel, dinner service could do with some organisation
Spent a week at Cretan Dream, mid September.
The hotel is lovely, room was nice and there was no sun bed rush in the morning which meant everyone had a relaxed breakfast.
We went half board and dinners were a set menu with choice of main only. The food was nice but if you’re more selective about what you eat, it would not be the option for you. The biggest issue was the service at dinner. Staff were pleasant but it could take hours to be served your full meal, staff seem to spend the entire night walking to the far off kitchen. I would go back, but would not choose to have more than a meal or two at the hotel.
Not quite what we expected.
We stayed at Cretan Dream during what must have been a very busy time. Overall, it was a nice stay, but our experience felt closer to an 8 than the 9.4+ rating we had expected based on the reviews and the price we paid. Our first night unfortunately started with the least enjoyable meal and service we had during our trip to Greece. Our room was also quite a distance from the elevator—about 15 rooms down—and seemed to be one of the furthest rooms from the sea despite booking a sea-view room. The room itself had a few issues. The shower temperature constantly changed from extremely hot to ice cold, and the bathroom lighting was very poor. The pool area was nice, although another couple jokingly pointed out all the missing mosaic tiles, and once they mentioned it, we started noticing them everywhere. Breakfast offered a large selection, and the staff throughout the hotel were always very nice and friendly. We understand there is a newer section of the property, which may explain some of the exceptionally high reviews. Perhaps the experience is quite different depending on which section and room you receive. The section we stayed in simply felt a little more dated and worn than we expected from the photos and ratings. We traveled around Greece for 17 nights and stayed at several different properties, so we had quite a bit to compare it to. Cretan Dream is certainly a nice hotel, but based on our particular stay, we would personally place it closer to an 8/10 experience rather than a 9.4+.

Fantastic Stay
An absolutely fantastic stay, loved every minute. The staff are fantastic, so welcoming, and helpful. A special shout out to Mani, Toula and Christina, who are a credit to Peter! The bar is fantastic, as is the food! The A La Carte menu, is superb - every meal, was beautiful. The hotel is great, and the view across the bay, is second to none. We loved it that much, we booked to come back, the day we got home. Thanks again to the whole team, at Cretan Dream

Cretan Dreams Resort and Spa
Our third stay at Cretan Dreams – and it feels like coming home!
This was our third time staying at Cretan Dreams, and once again, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is immaculate, the pool is fantastic, and being right next to the beach makes it the perfect location.
What really sets Cretan Dreams apart, though, is the incredible team. Petros, Despina and everyone else remembered us from our previous visits and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They genuinely care about their guests and always go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after. The customer service really is second to none.
Our room was fantastic and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and great quality.
One of the highlights of our stay was the Cretan Night on Tuesday. The food was amazing, particularly the meats, and the music, dancing and atmosphere made it such a memorable evening. It’s a wonderful way to experience some authentic Cretan hospitality and culture.
It’s quite rare to find a hotel where you feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, but Cretan Dreams manages to do exactly that. We feel so well looked after every time we stay, which is why we keep coming back.
