Renieris Hotel

We rarely ever book the same hotel twice as we like variety on our locations and experiences. We stayed here last year and had booked exactly the same week for this year as last year Georgios and his family and team had made it such a wonderful experience. Needless to say it was exactly the same this time around and we had such a wonderful time. The hotel is spotless, the pool clean and very inviting, the restaurant area where breakfast and all day food is served really inviting and the views as astounding as ever, however for all of these wonderful things we still find the services and friendliness of all the team there is what makes this place an absolute must if you are looking to stay in the area. We dined at Kimatogi and Katseroles (you have to meet Stavros the owner) great character but our favourite again is Oinomelo which is just at the bottom of the steps on the main road, the food,drink and ambience are all fantastic and Elena and Nicoletta her daughter are such beautiful friendly people. We are missing everyone there already and can't wait to go back sometime in the not so distant future.

Wow, just wow. What a fabulous hotel, such friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Cleanliness of the hotel is on another level, I cannot fault this hotel and George the owner is truly wonderful, the hotel does have 98 steps up to it and due to the location the coach transfer dropped us off at the bottom, however George came to collect us so we didn’t have to navigate the steps with 2 large suitcases, he also took us back down with the suitcases on the day of departure. The pool area is fab, quiet and spotlessly clean, great views across to the little Island of Theodouros. Great pool bar for snacks, very reasonably priced. Breakfast very nice as well including freshly cooked eggs to order. Will definitely return one day. Thank you George and team for a fantastic 11 days holiday!

We have just returned from staying at Hotel Renieris, and it was absolutely brilliant.

It is quite a small hotel, which is exactly what we were looking for, so it was very relaxing. The view from the pool across Kato Stalos is amazing, and the hotel is perfectly positioned to enjoy the sunset in the evening.

Due to the elevated position of the hotel, the steps to the main road can certainly be tiring, especially on the way back up! If you are being dropped off at the hotel by a large coach, it is worth noting that you will be dropped off at the bottom of these steps. However, the hotel owner, George, very kindly transferred us for both our drop-off and pick-up.

George could not do enough for us, which can also be said about all of the staff who work at the hotel. Sadly, I did not get any of the other staff members' names.

As well as working on reception, cooking in the kitchen and taxiing people around, George also fixed our air conditioning and assisted us with booking a car. I don't think I have ever seen anyone do as many jobs at once! As mentioned, he couldn't do enough for the guests at the hotel.

There is a small bar and restaurant next to the pool, which is where breakfast is served. Breakfast was lovely, with all the usual continental options. They also serve food throughout the day, which we had numerous times and really enjoyed.

The hotel is in a great location, between Chania in one direction and Agia Marina and Platanias in the other. It is very easy to get around by bus or taxi.

We found the hotel to be absolutely immaculate, which is a credit to the whole team. As a guest at the hotel, you really feel valued by the staff, which can't always be said about large chain hotels.

If we ever return to the Chania area, we will be sure to stay at Hotel Renieris again.
